I have been using this card reader for more than a month and used for both SD and Micro SD cards from my phones and cameras on windows and Android operating systems. Functioning: It is easy to use and works very smoothly, never had any problem in reading cards on either of the OS I used. Some of the cards I used are very old, but I did not have any problem in reading them. Speed is also very good. Aesthetics: It looks beautiful, have metallic finish which looks premium and subtle. I bought this for my son to use on his phone. It's a USB type C card reader and it does the job I bought it for and he has now been using it for quite a while with no problems. I've noticed that the really cheap ones tend to lose their ability to stay in the phone after a while, this hasn't suffered from that problem yet. Pros: Nice and compact size. Quality metal finish, nor "plasticky" feeling. Nice color. Downloads images rapidly. Cons: When the memory card reader is inserted into my laptop on the left side, the Starware logo is displayed, looks nice, however, the memory card needs to be inserted upside down. If you insert the card reader in a USB C slot on the right side of your laptop, no branding logo is visible, but then the memory card can be inserted correctly. OR if you insert the card reader on the right side with the Starware logo visible, then the card reader opening is pointing in the wrong direction, i.e. you have to insert the memory card from the top. Maybe the company can redesign the location of the logo on their next batch, since it IS a nice reader and the logo is nice and not obtrusive. The connection to the USB C slot is SUPER tight. Maybe it will loosen a little with time? I guess, better tight than falling out, kind of worries me, the force I have to use to insert it. I tried with 3 different USB C slots and they are all really snug. But overall, it's a nice card reader and works perfectly. Read more
