This is actually my second Epomaker keyboard, although the first one is wireless and this one isn't, and this time as well, I must say I'm pretty impressed with it. It has a nice, sleek look, with A-RGB backlighting that can be customised, just like the trigger point can be customised as well to match your playing style. For the lighting,you can do it using key combinations; for the rest, the Epomaker software will let you take care of it in more depth. (The software itself isn't provided in the box, it's downloadable on their website.) The Hall effect keys give a pleasant feeling, with their size also being just right for me, and it makes for a very comfortable typing experience, both when gaming and when using the keyboard for, well, typing text in general. The keys do make a clicking sound, however it's not too loud, and I can bring it with me at the office and use it there without its being an issue with my colleagues hot-desking not far from me. The box also contains the power USB cable, which is braided (an additional plus for me since I have a cat who enjoys chewing cables, so any kind of protection is always welcome), and spare switches as well as a pair of 'tweezers' to pull out keys when needing to swap them. It's not always my keyboard of choice (I also keep a mechanical AZERTY one for my system in French, because I need to type accents, and a QWERTY 65% keyboard (without numpad) really isn't convenient for that. But as a secondary keyboard, for the office or for when language doesn't matter much, this one is definitely pretty good. Read more

Da tempo avevo ormai perso il vizio di usare tastiere cablate: cavi in giro per la scrivania, quelle wireless permettono più mobilità, ecc. ecc. Tuttavia a seguito dell' ennesima caduta, la mia tastiera ha deciso di abbandonarmi in via definitiva e, complice il programma Vine di Amazon, ho deciso di soddisfare la curiosità di provare se effettivamente valesse la pena possedere una tastiera cablata il cui valore di mercato superasse i 50 euro. Questa Epomaker HE68 ha dato presto risposta alle mie perplessità: indubbiamente si. La tastiera ha un bella linea e gli effetti rgb sono davvero tanti e fanno una gran figura. La qualità costruttiva e di assemblaggio è davvero davvero alta. Ma le prestazioni? Le prestazioni sono eccezionali: risposta alla pressione pressoché azzerata, ritorno dei tasti rapidissimo, fluidità di scrittura eccezionale e configurabilità/ personalizzazione assoluta tramite il software scaricabile dal sito del produttore. Non è quindi adatta solo per il gaming, con un pò di pratica (i tasti sono mediamente più piccoli di altri prodotti) anche editare fogli di calcolo o riempire pagine di word diventerà meno faticoso. Il software permette una configurazione, quasi fin troppo, minuziosa. La qualité de construction est dans la moyenne mais cela passe encore pour le prix et se comprend car cela permet de proposer un clavier plus abordable qui a toute les fonctions Hall Effect de claviers bien plus chers. Le châssis en plastique combiné à la sangle de transport le rende léger et facilement transportable. Pour une fois j'ai adoré les swicths préinstallés, bon c'est au goût de chacun mais je les trouvés top. Je pense que ce clavier pourrait devenir une référence pour les amateurs de joueurs e-sport/fps qui veulent à la fois un clavier performant, compact et léger sous les 60€. In the realm of gaming keyboards, there are literally hundreds of offerings. In many cases it is hard to tell what makes a keyboard more suitable for gaming than any other, but in this case it is easy as the there is an impressive array of features designed to enhance both performance and user experience. As is now almost standard, this keyboard features A-RGB backlighting, which provides vibrant illumination, particularly in dimly lit environments. This has been particularly beneficial during late-night sessions. The adjustable trigger feature adds another layer of customization and is in my opinion something that sets this keyboard apart from its rivals. I was able to fine-tune the actuation point to suit my gaming style, something I never knew was possible but has actually improved both typing and gaming. The macros, which I programmed using the included software, allowed for the execution of combos and worked surprisingly well. OK, this keyboard is compact, it says it is 65% the size of a full-size keyboard, and this does make it small and highly portable. The sound-dampened keys were a shocking change when compared to my mechanical keyboard, ideal for late-night sessions. So to preface this I am going to be comparing this to my current go-to keyboard and personal favourite the Corsair K95 RGB Platinum a mechanical keyboard with fast acting switches and around 75% more than this keyboard costs. So with my preface out of the way and to set expectations I have to say that apart from my hands being a little too big for the keyboard to be used at peak comfort levels this is a great keyboard for First person shooters MMO's and I'd even say driving games due to the analogue input of the keys. The build quality is ok it is entirely plastic and there is a little flex in my keyboard vs K95 but it isn't noticeable at any point. The responsiveness is adjustable on a per-key basis so you may prefer to have the WASD keys super sensitive but have say the reload or weapon swap keys need more force to activate to prevent inadvertent actions. This feature alone has made me decide that I need to get a full 106key hall effect keyboard as it is a massive changer to playing games. The RGB is also per key rather than zone that is also a surprise in a keyboard this small packing in so much nothing new in relation to my old one. The weakest point of the keyboard is the software as it works but looks rushed and you need to go through it for a bit to lean it all but the lighting options are plentiful and the switch configuration is simple to use and test out however I think it could be refined better with some hints with what each option does. It is wired only but as it has a USB-C port pretty much any device could use it with either a C-C cable or A-C cable. There is a great little carry strap option that you can fit or leave the rubber cover on however if you decide to use the strap the rubber cover doesn't sit right afterward's due to the plastic being chewed up. But I have to say as a LAN party or traveling gaming setup keyboard this is great it is light weight and can be clipped to a bag or carried by hand if it cant fit in your bag and it works great. If it was a 106 I would without a doubt replace my main desktop keyboard with it but for now it goes in to my gaming laptop bag for the times I am away from home. Read more

I've always been a bit of a mechanical keyboard enthusiast and this is not my first hall effect keyboard. However this is my first hall effect keyboard at this price point at £50 it's half the price of my other and a lot less than my most expensive keyboard which actually comes in over a grand. So this review is really based on the keyboard from a value for money perspective at that price point and to be honest at 50 pounds you're getting a lot of value here. The case is plastic and there are no standoffs the keyboard does feel and sound quite nice. It's actually quite nice to type on with a decent thock sound. Key presses are obviously adjustable from an activation point of view as this is a hall effect keyboard and that's done via the version 3 software which works very simply with a simple install allowing you to customize everything around the board including individual RGB configuration. The RGB LEDs are fully controllable there are lots of patterns but you can just individually configure them for solid color. Due to the location of the LEDs and the way the key caps are created there isn't a lot of pass through for the legends but the LEDs still give a nice illumination effect. The lack of standoffs means the board has to sit flat which is slightly annoying. In the package you also get a really nice black braided usb-c cable, some spare switches and the switch puller which is great. I really liked the 65% layout of the board and as a spare or secondary keyboard this is ideal and would be perfectly satisfactory as the main keyboard for most people I'm sure. Hall Effect Gaming at a Steal - With Some Caveats Got this keyboard on July 13th for $42 shipped and I’m honestly shocked at what you get for the price. If you’re looking to try Hall effect switches without spending $100+, this is your best bet. The Good: The Hall effect switches are the real deal. Coming from a standard mechanical keyboard, the difference in response time is noticeable in competitive games. Those milliseconds actually matter when you’re trying to hit quick combos or react fast in FPS games. I’ve definitely noticed my reaction times improve across multiple games. The switches feel smooth and consistent with none of that mushy feeling you get with some budget boards. The typing sound is also excellent - they really nailed that. It has a satisfying, clean sound that’s not too loud or clacky. What’s impressive is that this has all the main features you’d find on bigger brand Hall effect keyboards that won’t be named - including SOCD (Simultaneous Opposite Cardinal Directions) mode. You’re getting the same core functionality at a fraction of the price. Just keep in mind that SOCD is allowed in most games but definitely not in CS2. Even though the SOCD isn’t allowed there, the magnetic switches make counter strafing a breeze. For $42, you’re getting technology that normally costs twice as much. This is a fantastic entry point into Hall effect keyboards. The Not-So-Good: The build quality shows the budget nature. When it arrived, the keyboard looked fine but wouldn’t sit flat on my desk - there was a slight warp that made it rock back and forth. I had to gently bend it back into shape, which worked but doesn’t inspire confidence for long-term durability. The case has noticeable flex when you press down firmly. Also, no adjustable feet. You get one typing angle and that’s it. Pretty basic feature that should’ve been included. The Ugly: EPOMaker’s software is frustrating. It’s clunky and unintuitive. Getting profiles to actually save to the keyboard took multiple attempts and several resets. I’d make changes, hit apply, and nothing would happen. Reset the keyboard, try again, maybe it works this time. The interface feels like it was designed by someone who’s never used keyboard software before. Once you get everything set up, it works fine, but getting there is a pain. Bottom Line: Despite the software headaches and build quality issues, this keyboard delivers Hall effect performance at an insane price. If you’re primarily gaming and can deal with some setup frustration, this is a no-brainer. The core experience - fast, responsive switches that actually improve your gaming - is solid. This feels like it should cost $80-100 based on the switch technology alone. Yeah, the case flexes and the software is terrible, but for forty-two bucks and the gaming advantage you get, I’m not complaining. Just be prepared to wrestle with the software and maybe do some minor case adjustment when it arrives. Read more

The light up backing to the keyboard is really pretty and has plenty of options for how the lights display, or what colour light you want. The magnetic keys also have the perfect sound and feel for when you're typing - my favourite keyboard that I've used! The only things that would improve this are if the cable was more streamlined because it is pretty bulky and not flexible, and having the number keypad to the right of the keyboard, but that's just because I've been used to that with my previous keyboards!
