I’ve bought many of these in the passed, I grow a few hundred tomatoes each year and always need to add more. They are a pretty simple design but these somehow fail. It is the end of July, my plants still have a good month or more of growing and my plants are falling down as the spindles fail. The string is not wound tight enough and unravels, I’ve unwound a few and wound them tighter, but they still fail as the string is slick against the plastic and just unravels with a little weight on it. Plus the plastic ‘horn’ that arrests the spinning misses the catch on half of them, another fail. They are unable to do the one thing they are designed for. Read more
