These T13-style posable robots from GmrvaMen feature many small fragile parts which could be a choking hazard for young children, but may be suitable for older kids and even adults. Design: This set contains four posable 5" tall T13-style figures, made with numerous small molded plastic pieces. There are some visible injection mold marks, but overall these figures seem fairly well-made. Each figure is differentiated by body color: black, gold, red, or white. They feature small ball-and-socket joints at the ankles, hips, torso, wrists, and shoulders, and neck, along with twist joints at other points, allowing for a wide range of poses. The joints and twist points move fairly smoothly. Each figure comes with a set of four weapons (pistol, axe, jagged sword, katana) and three pairs of hands that can be mixed and matched for further customization. Usage: My 9-year-old daughter tried using the figures but found it difficult to make them stay balanced. The figures' relatively small narrow feet make them prone to tipping over. We also had some trouble attaching the hands onto the wrist joints. During play, a small neck piece fell off of a few figures. In the end, I found myself enjoying the challenge of posing them more than my daughter did. Final Thoughts: Although these figures are fairly well-made, the balance issues and small, fragile parts make them less ideal as toys for active play.
