This tent feels very well-made and is a great choice for general camping. It’s spacious, easy to set up, and includes a footprint, which is a nice bonus for protecting the bottom. The double-layer design adds extra weather resistance, and it holds up well in moderate wind and rain. However, at over 5 pounds, it’s on the heavier side for extended backpacking trips where every ounce counts. The materials feel durable and reliable, but I do wish they were PFAS-free, as more eco-conscious options are becoming the norm. I got the forest green color, and it blends beautifully with outdoor surroundings. ***** Rain test update ***** The remnants of tropical storm Sara were due to pass through, so I set the tent out in the yard beforehand. There was about 6-8hrs of light to moderate rain overnight, followed by another 2hrs in the late morning. No leaks! The water beaded-up nicely on the entire fly material, with no spots of the fabric appearing "wet". ***** Original ***** Yes, this can certainly be a 2-person tent, however this one is just for me when camping near my vehicle. As my vehicle is small, I prefer a smaller tent. From prior camping I've also found I'm a bit warmer in a small tent rather than a bigger tent by myself. Love the green color. There's a lot to like about this tent: double wall, full mesh interior, full coverage rain-fly, included (perfect fitting) ground sheet, all stakes included to fully stake the tent, two doors, two vents, aluminum poles. I found the interior width and length to each be about 1 inch smaller than claimed, but this would still be wide enough for 2, typically 25" wide sleeping pads. The product description claims a "3 minute setup" - this seems unrealistic to me. It certainly isn't a difficult setup but I doubt, even with practice, that 3 minutes is possible - there's just a lot of little things to do. The instructions (attached to the inside of the storage bag, are pretty much useless. I staked the ground sheet first, then rolled out the tent body on top of it and attached each corner to the same stakes. Yes, the poles are a "single pole construction" but there's a lot of sections (shock corded) to assemble - I might have spent 3 minutes just assembling the pole. Once you have the poles inserted into each little red loop (see 3rd photo), you're ready to raise the tent body. Note: the photo in the product description shows black plastic buckles; these photos must be from an earlier model of the tent - the attachments are all the red aluminum type shown in my photos. Before raising the tent mesh, you'll notice the center cross pole tends to hang below the main pole. The instructions don't mention this, but it seems to me that the construction is stronger if the cross pole sits on top of the main pole; so orient it this way before raising the mesh and attaching the half-twist clips to the poles. Attaching the rain-fly seemed difficult at first; as if the red aluminum loops wouldn't reach the ends of the poles. It turned out that the length adjustment at each of the red loops was retracted all the way. So you may want to loosen these all the way before attaching the rain-fly; then after they're attached, they can be cinched-down as needed. Attaching the 2nd of the cross-pole loops was probably the only one that required a little extra effort to loop it over the pole. Even though I didn't bother to stake-out the 4 guylines, the tent sets up in a nice symmetric shape. The vestibules hold their shape well without sagging in. The only exception to this was heavy wind gusts. It was a very windy day, and occasionally a strong gust would cause the end of the cross-pole to flex downward a bit but it immediately returned to it's normal position when the gust passed. I'm not familiar with the "210T polyester" material, but it feels durable enough, if a bit heavier than higher grade materials. There is some conflicting information, in some places it says the water resistance is 2000mm and 3000mm in other places. Fortunately, the shape of the tent does not allow for any standing pools of water on the rain-fly. Some very small criticisms include: the fabric loops where the toggles are inserted to hold the doors back seem unnecessarily small/tight, so I just added small elastic hair ties which makes inserting the toggles much easier & quicker. The no-name door zippers on the mesh work ok, but aren't as easy and smooth as I'd hoped. So far the tent seems like a winner. I don't have any camping planned for a couple of months, but I will definitely set the tent in the yard prior to the next rain storm. So for now, I'll consider this review preliminary; as a "rain test" is one of the most important things of all. Read more

I have several tents for backpacking and car camping. This Naturehike 2-man tent is somewhere in the middle of a backpacking tent and a car camping tent. While it is fairly light, it is almost 1lb heavier than my typical backpacking tent setup. Most of the weight is actually in the thicker tent cover. The rest of the tent setup is actually really light. So if you pare this down to only what you want to take on a backpacking trip, the weight is totally manageable. Here's what I like about this tent: - The tent rods and tent stakes are aluminum and seem pretty high quality. - You get a LOT of head room in this - It is spacious enough to actually fit 2 people and equipment - There are lots of pockets and baskets in this tent for storage. They can also be removed to further reduce weight. - Comes with a light and yet durable ground sheet that is sized for the tent. It is a little heavier than if you made your own out of Tyvek, but not by much! It has grommets at the corners to stake down with the rest of the tent. Overall, I am impressed with the fit and finish of this tent. The tent fly/cover could be made of a lighter weight material to truly make this a lightweight backpacking tent, but a ~5lb 2-man tent is totally doable (and maybe worth the weight for all the comfort features you can bring along). Hello, my name is Mrknot, and I'm a tent-aholic. They say admitting you have a problem is the first step. Seriously though, I own alot of tents. 8 at last count. 9 including this one. Do I need that many? Heck no, but i do like them. I have 2 one-person tents, a couple of teepees, a large, inflatable-framed family sized, the list goes on... The only real niche that I was missing is a lightweight two person. Now, there are definitely lighter weight two person tents out there. Some of those trekking pole, dyneema ones weigh in at around a pound, while this one tips the scales at around 4.5, trail weight. However, for that amount of weight savings you are looking at 4-7× the price of this one. All that being said, this is a very excellent tent. Construction is solid. Setup is very simple. I had it out in about 48 hours of constant, steady rain a couple of weeks ago and there were zero leaks. Further, due to the good ventilation, there was no discernable condensation on the inside, despite the high humidity. For the price, this is one of the best value for the money tents out there. Another winner by NatureHike. I have a few small items by this company, and they impressed me enough to try one of their tents. I am glad I did… this tent is excellent. Took me 15 minutes to set up on my own the first time. Took 14 minutes to break it down and bag it up. I had no difficulty with the folding and rolling to fit it back in its bag. Some tents can be a major challenge to get back in the sack, but this one was fairly intuitive. Its rectangular footprint makes for easy folds and rolls, only the rainfly has some odd geometry, but once I matched the first corners, it went smoothly. I expect I could get these times down to under ten minutes. This includes a fitted base layer in its own pouch, which I was able to fit inside the main bag. This mat helps protect the bottom from scratches and punctures, giving the tent something clean to rest on. It has little aluminum tabs that stick onto the ends of the poles like the tent and rainfly. It’s a tight squeeze to get all three tabs on there, but they do all fit, allowing this to be lifted and moved as one piece once assembled. Includes a dozen 6” aluminum stakes in their own pouch. These stakes have a trigonal shape, and use a notch at the top instead of a hook. This design is new to me. It allows them to grip from all sides, so there’s no risk of a stake twisting and coming unhooked. These notches are only about 5mm deep, so there’s not much of a grab. I did have two come unhooked; perhaps there’s a trick to using them. While the poles go into the metal tabs, there was no obvious connection for the stakes aside from the loops of cord. They need tension to maintain the hold. I’m not sure if I’m using them correctly, but I could use a spare set of heavy duty stakes if needed. The poles this tent uses cone as a single piece. It is all elastic corded together, there is zero chance of assembling them the wrong way. The poles go into the four corners to create an arch, and the tent suspends from it using clever twist-and-lock double-hook fasteners. These are better than a standard hook; I really like how easy it is to use them. The rainfly goes on the pole tips same as the tent. Start with the center, the ends will align. The tabs for the fly are on short straps that can be adjusted. I didn’t touch any adjustments until I had trouble getting the last one to reach. It was because I hadn’t done the middle first. Restarting from the middle made it go smoothly. The fly has vents on either side where a little pole dangles; this pole connects to a velcro patch to prop the vent open. The whole upper is mesh, and the door flaps in the fly can be staked open, so it can achieve a lot of airflow if desired. I really like how the bottom 6” is fully sealed. I’ve had tents get soaked inside from rain running down a slope and flowing thru the zipper and seams. This tent’s design solves that problem. Such an easily overlooked feature, yet it can make all the difference. I’m 6’1” and can lay down in this straight without touching the walls. I can sit up straight in the middle and there’s enough room for my head. It’s about as compact as possible for me without being cramped. Sleeps two adults no problem. I do have to crawl thru the low opening to enter, but it’s cozy once inside. Small and light enough to take on a hike. It fits in my hiking pack. Excellent attention to detail. Thoughtful features.
