These are a great temporary/wireless option for bookcase lighting! We bought these for the storage cabinets attached to our murphy bed in the guest room. I wanted some ambiance lighting that could be fun for people staying over different holidays, or just for a mellow reading light, since the overhead is BRIGHT. They work great! I LOVE that they're rechargeable, so when guests leave I can just plug them in for a couple hours. No battery waste! You do have to point the controller at the lights for them to work. I have one puck behind a plant and I have to angle the controller right to get the light to work, but this is a very minor inconvenience for the effect of expensive lighting at such a low cost. Bought for under our cabinets instead of wiring lights. They work great! Long lasting at least through an evening party with all fully drained and then charged fully before the party… lasted a good 6 hours. (Be aware if they are within 1 foot of each other the remote will trigger both (but you can avoid this if you get super close to each individual one.) All light modes work well, colors are good. They stay cool to touch. Seem built well. Remote works well but totally recommend using with clean dry hands of course & keep away from sink or steam (common sense right?!). Recommend for use like ours, can’t comment on other uses. Always use fully until they die before recharging. Only complaint - wish it came with 6 charge cords or 2 charge cord/ with 3 prongs each… or a charging doc… only reason we didn’t give 5 stars — it only comes with 2 making charging slow process and not effective if you’re using all 6 in one locale. There were other options on Amazon that included docking stations and/or more charger cords but the others didn’t give the lighting options of bright white, warm white, and multi color. Read more

I initially bought these to use in my kitchen (under cabinets). I really liked the look so much I decided to use one over my coffee bar. I used a couple during Christmas inside a centerpiece.
