Die GravaStar Gaming-Tastatur Mercury K1 habe ich als kostenfreies Sample für eine Bewertung im Rahmen des VINE Produkttestprogramms erhalten. Ich habe bisher nur ganz normale Tastaturen verwendet und keine Erfahrung mit Gaming-Tastaturen oder allgemein mit Tastaturen dieser Preisklasse. Diese Tastatur gefällt mir sehr gut, vor allem das Design. Die Beschriftung der Tasten befindet sich nicht auf der Oberseite, sondern auf der Vorderseite der Tasten. Wenn die Beleuchtung eingeschaltet ist, ist die Beschriftung sehr klar zu sehen, was mir optisch sehr gut gefällt. Die Tasten fühlen sich gut an, sind robust und stabil, und die Tastatur insgesamt ist etwas höher als herkömmliche Tastaturen. Ich verbinde sie über Bluetooth mit meinem Mac. Man muss jedoch beachten, dass die Tastatur kein deutsches Layout besitzt (u.a. „QWERTY“ und nicht „QWERTZ“). Da ich beruflich fast ausschließlich auf Englisch schreiben muss, stellt das Layout für mich kein Problem dar. Außerdem fehlt der Nummernblock auf der rechten Seite (was mich persönlich nicht stört). Ich benutze die Tastatur zum Arbeiten und nicht zum Spielen und könnte daher auch mit einer günstigeren Version auskommen. Hier handelt es sich um eine kleine, sehr gut verarbeitet Gaming Tastatur. Sie ist sehr gut verarbeitet, das Design gefällt mir sehr gut und da sie recht klein ist, nimmt sie nicht viel Platz auf dem Tisch weg. Die kann Kabellos oder mit Kabel angeschlossen werden. Sie hat jetzt schon einige Spielstunden hinter sich und die Tasten gehen leicht und reagieren sehr gut, auch draufhämmern halten die Tasten sehr gut aus. Die Tastatur könnte man auch zum Schreiben nutzen, aber man merkt dann schnell, dass der Nummernblock fehlt und so man daher schnell Schwierigkeiten bekommt. Da ich aber meinen PC nur für Gaming nutze, ist dies nicht weiter tragisch, ansonsten sollte man 2 Tastaturen besitzen. Ich bin total zufrieden und wird gerne damit gespielt. Read more

The sound is music to my ears, I would not expect such a good Thock right out of the box RGB is plenty, the sidebar light is adjustable and provides amazing effects. WARNING! The description here, like a lot of amazon descriptions, is inaccurate. The board does NOT come with Leobold switches, it comes with special Kailh x Gravastar switches which are linear and thocky. I first discovered the brand GRAVSTAR while searching for a wireless mouse, and I came across their Mercury M1 gaming mouse. Since then, I’ve been quite intrigued by their products because of their unique designs. When Mercury K1 wireless keyboard showed up, I decided to give it a try, and I was pleasantly surprised. Although GRAVSTAR is a relatively new brand, it stands out with its bold designs. I was particularly impressed by how well the product was packaged. The packaging is top-notch, giving you a premium unboxing experience. Inside the box, you’ll find the keyboard itself, four sample switches, a cleaning brush, and a keycap + switch puller. The keyboard feels heavy and well-built, with a solid mix of metal and plastic materials. Out of curiosity, I weighed the keyboard, and it came in at 2.5 lbs. The unique design wraps around the entire keyboard and even extends to the underside. It has an alien-mechanical motif that matches perfectly with their M1 mouse. The Mercury K1 comes with all the features you'd expect from a ‘high-end’ keyboard. The switches are custom Kailh Linear switches with south-facing LEDs, which pair perfectly with the south-facing keycaps. The keycaps have a nice gradient color scheme and a slight texture, adding to the tactile feel. Typing on this keyboard is buttery smooth, and you get a satisfying “tock” sound instead of the hollow ‘clack’ that some mechanical keyboards make. If the switches aren’t to your liking, they’re easily swappable, and the keyboard supports both 3-pin and 5-pin switches. Connectivity options include 2.4 GHz wireless, Bluetooth, and a wired connection. While the wireless modes work flawlessly, I was a bit disappointed by the included USB cable which is a generic, non-braided cable. GRAVSTAR does sell a more premium-looking coiled braided keyboard cable for $25. That said, it’s not a huge issue since the keyboard is designed to be primarily wireless. The keyboard also features RGB lighting that extends into the frame due to its unique design. While it can be a bit overwhelming, it’s still very cool. The alien design softens the light around the frame, so it isn’t too distracting. It’s not just a simple strip of light, which makes it feel more integrated into the overall aesthetic. When it comes to typing and gaming, this keyboard delivers an excellent experience. It works as intended, with no issues whatsoever. However, to access some of the more customizable features, you’ll need to download their software, which is a bit of a clunky experience. The software and firmware can be downloaded from GRAVSTAR’s website, but the links lead to a Google Drive, which feels a little odd. The download and installation process are straightforward, but the software itself could use some polish. It does what it needs to—controlling RGB lighting and programming buttons—but the user interface feels lacking compared to other major brands. Overall, I think this is a great keyboard. While GRAVSTAR is still a relatively new player in the market, it sets itself apart with its cool design and competitive pricing. The software may not be perfect yet, but it works, and I’m sure they’ll improve it over time. The gaming experience is fantastic, and I can’t get over how satisfying the sound is when typing.
