This picture was taken while setting up my home office and before I got my computer, printer, etc in place, but it gives you an idea of how it fits. I am very pleased with my treadmill purchase. It's pretty quiet and easy to set up and use. I generally leave mine in place under my desk, but occasionally have to pull it out and the wheels at the front (heavier) end make it easy to move around when you lift up from the back of the pad. I'm 5'7" (with shorter legs, longer torso) and the length of the treadmill pad is great for my slow walk (1.0 or 1.2 mph) while at my desk. There was one time at the end of my work day that I sped up my walk to finish a certain distance and at the faster speed I was taking longer strides and my feet were getting close to the back of pad. This made me wonder if someone who had much longer legs than me or was trying to use it for fast walking or running might find the pad to be too short. The length is perfect for how I use it while working and I like that it doesn't stick out too far into the room, just thought it's worth noting in case your stride or use is different than mine. The other thing that surprised me is that after the 98th minute, instead of going to 99 minutes it ends my walk and turns off. You can just turn it back on and keep going, but it doesn't keep track of your total time or distance between sessions. I really wasn't expecting much out of this product but I was quite surprised when I received it. The box is both taped and strapped and, upon opening, I found the treadmill was securely held but still easy to remove. The package includes everything you need to get started right away and even includes a spare battery for the remote control (something I've never seen before). I did swap out the power cord as the included cord is pretty short and my goal was to put the unit in the middle of the floor so I can watch TV while walking. Luckily, they chose to use a standard 'computer' style power cord, which I have a number of laying around. My only complaint on the power cord is that the placement of the plug on the unit requires removing the cord before being able to stand the unit up and store it. A small gripe. Also, a small gripe, there is a nice spot for the remote to store when the unit is laying down, but it's not magnetic so, when you stand it up, you have to find a place to 'just stick' the remote somewhere so it doesn't get lost. If the remote and the remote 'port' were magnetic, this wouldn't be a problem. I'll probably end up gluing a few magnets in there to remedy the issue. Once on the unit, I found that it's quite stable and runs very smooth. I was a little worried that using it on carpeting would be a problem but, unless you've got some 70's shag carpet, you should be fine. Even with my 250lbs on top, it doesn't rub the carpet or bog down. Speaking of bogging down, I had no problems with getting and keeping it up to speed and the powered incline worked just as expected as well. Again, a welcome surprise given that I'm not a light guy. I'm also pretty tall, with a 35" inseam, so I expected the length to be a problem, not allowing me to take full strides. I definitely couldn't run on this unit and I'm right about at the limit for being able to take full strides when walking fast, but it does allow me to do so. A few times, I felt my shoe hit the rearmost roller (meaning I was just about to come off the unit) but I never lost stride and it was basically a reminder that I needed to pick up the pace a bit. I still had to pay attention to get myself centered to where I wasn't stepping on the front control panel and I also wasn't falling off the back, but that wasn't difficult and I was soon in a stride. All in all, I've pretty impressed with this unit. Build quality seems to be very good (time will tell, of course) but right out of the box, there's very little (if anything, really) to complain about. Read more
