In love with this chalk bucket! The color is beautiful--this was navy blue, but it leans more turquoise (which is why I chose it). The fabric definitely holds onto the chalk, so the top opening is nearly solid white at this point. I love the magnetic closure and the optional buckle but the magnets are strong enough that I only buckle it when I'm carrying it. I use the pocket nearly every session to either hold my airpods that I forgot the case for or some lip balm and the back has 2 (not 1!) brush holders. My only complaint is that it's tough to get it to stay open if that's what you want. The upside to that, however, is it makes it less likely it'll be kicked over and your chalk dumped on the mats. I got this bag figuring if I couldn't find a use for it I'd give it to my daughter for climbing. It's a nice lined bag--it's kind of too nice for chalk and if you do use it for chalk you'll be carrying a lot of it. I usually carry a camera with me and I use moderately padded drawstring bags for my gear, sometimes inside lightweight dry bags. I'm a careful guy, and don't like carrying around bulky padding. I don't like straps hanging around my neck and I don't like bags that scream "HEY! I HAVE A CAMERA IN HERE!" Photo 2 shows what I can fit in the bucket: SLR with 100mm lens and wide angle lens in the main bag, and a stack of filters, lens hood, and even a roll of film in the zippered pockets. Pretty good kicking around kit, and the bag has easy access to the camera with the clips and magnetic closures. Easier than drawstrings. There's no strap, and the only attachment point is low on the bag which I don't get. It must be a climbing thing. Just clipping the unrolled top makes a pretty good handle. My bag is called "Navy Blue" but I picked it by the sweet acid washed/turquoise color shown in the product photos. It's the color from the photos and nowhere close to navy blue. If you don't like to carry a fashion accessory kind of purse and are tired of backpacks and fanny packs, this seems like a pretty good alternative for your glasses, phone, lip balm, and Junior Mints. This mountain climber’s chalk bucket is outstanding, and I’m thrilled I found the right size for my oldest son, whose hands are extra, extra large. Using his measurements, marked in my photo with a translucent zip ties at the bag’s opening, I was delighted that it fits perfectly without being unnecessarily oversized. ( read below for conversion plans) He’ll be thrilled with the fit, but also with the thoughtful features this bag offers. The magnetic closure with added quick release buckle make is secure yet easy to use. The thick lining will keep the chalk inside, from seeping through the fabric, and the zippers pockets are great for essentials he might not want in his pockets while climbing. I’m not a climber yet I’ve tried it indoors recreationally and I pay attention to details. The turquoise color I choose, is one of his favorites, making this bag even better. For anyone facing a similar hand size challenge, our plan is to add a couple of webbing loops to the back edge of the bag and a drawstring cover at the first inside seam. This will allow him to attach it to his belt while climbing, converting it into something similar to a chalk bag (the smaller bag typically carried on a belt for climbing). This modification is necessary because it’s nearly impossible to find a belt-style chalk bag large enough to accommodate his hand. Other chalk buckets are bigger and too bulky. Die Tasche ist wirklich super. Reisverschlüsse, Bürstenschlaufen und der die allgemeine Qualität sind sehr überzeugend! Kein "billiger Plastikbeutel". Habe mich lange umgeschaut und mich für diesen entschieden, obwohl er aus Amerika importiert wird. Die längere Lieferzeit hat sich mehr als gelohnt. I was really impressed with the quality of this chalk bag. I know this bag is meant for climbers, but I do CrossFit and I was looking for something to store my chalk block. I currently use a plastic bag and it’s so messy and annoying. The outside material is really thick and its really well made. It has a magnetic closer which is perfect for opening it quickly and easily. The only downside of a magnetic closer is that it doesn’t seal completely, so if you have it in your gym bag with loose chalk it can spill a bit. However, since it has two clips, I’m just going to clip it outside my gym bag strap and carry it that way. I can fit both my hands inside the bag while applying chalk, which is great to avoid any mess at the gym. Plus, since it has a flat bottom, you can open it up and sit it next to you so you can re-apply quickly during a workout, without having grab the bag to open and close the bag. Also, the inside of the bag has soft padding which is perfect for keeping my chalk block from breaking. Really good find. I know my WOD partners are going to ask about it :) Read more
