If you have wavy, frizzy hair, and the idea of letting your hair air-dry is out of the question, this product is for you. My hair length is a little below my collarbone and not too thick, but takes at least 45-minutes to blow dry with a round brush and then style with a flat iron or curling iron. If I let my hair air-dry, it’s a bushy, frizzy, hideous mess. I never could let it air dry, until I got this steam straightener. It works so fast. I simply combed it through a section of hair once and it was straight. My entire head took less than 15 minutes- from crazy, wild air-dried hair, to walking out the door. It does make your hair super straight. You can try to twist a curl and it may take for a moment, but it will not stay. You do have to give up the body and bounce you might get from a blow-dry and curling iron. But the trade off, it smooth, straight, soft (and limp) hair, and about a hour spent on drying and styling. As I paid for this myself, I will give you an HONEST REVIEW: Faster Straightening: IT DIDN'T reaches its optimal temperature in just 30 seconds, it actually took several minutes. You can get this same result with your regular flat iron, it takes the ssme amount of hair. I washed and blow dried my hair prior to using this! I have 4b/4c hair, I wasn’t fully expecting this work but it was absolutely amazing. My hair is so soft and it looks like I actually got a silk press. After 1 pass my hair was really straight. USE THE GLOVE YOUR HAIR WILL GET REALLY HOT. This is by far the best straightener for curly hair out there. I have curly/wavy hair and have tried many different straighteners before, even other ones from wavytalk, but this is the best one yet. I have always had wavy hair and so for the last 20 years or so, I would just rough blow dry my hair on high heat and then flat iron it with my Chi, which only had 1 heat setting (450 or something like that). My hair would look beautiful all week long. But now, at almost 60, I am "embracing" my silver hairs that have been coming in SUPER frizzy! TLDR: Great option for hair straightening, a bit expensive but definitely worth it. Use the lower heat settings at first while getting used to it. This is an amazing hair straightening brush! I love the steam feature. I haven't used a traditional hair straightener in years and have wanted to try this alternative straightening brush. I have trouble defining my hair texture and it doesn't look good down so I thougt I'd give this a try. This is amazing! I recommend using the lower heat levels first because the highest setting almost burned my scalp. So be careful!
