I have tried a few tablet mounts. This is one of the better ones for the money. The vacuum base has a very strong grip on clean glass. I'd recommend cleaning it well with glass cleaner or alcohol first to improve adhesion. It includes a smooth metal plate that can be attached with screws to a surface to provide a place to attach the vacuum mount semi-permanently. This unit has two joints on the arm from the vacuum to the tablet mount. It also has a ball joint there. These can all be tightened very securely. On the tablet mount itself, both sides telescope out to grip the tablet. One side is under spring force. The other side slides out and locks. This is better than mounts with springs on both sides. You can orient the locking jaw downward. With spring only jaws the weight of the tablet tries to open them. This is a nice mount. It's reasonably priced and quite secure. I'd rate it five stars. After trying three other plastic suction mounts for a nine inch tablet, I'd all but given up. The weight of the tablet was too much. Looked at some heavy duty mounts and bought this thing on pure hope. Welp, only been a few days but the tablet weight and heat have had zero effect on it moving. It's metal and adjustable. The suction is slightly larger than most, but I guess that's why it is so effective. Definitely a good mount for heavier and larger devices. Read more

I was so looking forward to having a “working” tablet mount for the car… I tested it out at my desk and the suction was incredible… it stuck on solidly… unfortunately when I went to mount it on the dash of my Sante Fe SUV, it didn’t work. The suction area is quite large and my dash is not flat in the optimal spot. There’s a slight curvature and the suction doesn’t hold. You do get this metal plate that I could have used 3M double-sided tape but I don’t really want to commit to having tape on my dash. So… a little disappointed there. Overall, this is the best constructed and designed tablet mount I’ve come across… and I’ve looked at plenty designed for the car… it's just unfortunate it didn’t work with the curve on my SUV dash but I may just use it as a tablet holder on my work desk since it’s so functional and well designed!
