How many cyclists out there religiously lube their bike chains? Did you know your drive chain will last a LOT longer if you clean and lube your chain every "x" amount of miles? Some prefer a wet lube (oil), and some prefer dry, which is a wax. There have been many discussions as to which is better, so the decision is yours. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. Personally, I prefer a dry lube since it's cleaner, doesn't pick up grit and dirt, and I very rarely ride in the rain or through the snow. A dry lube is also a lot cleaner, which means you won't get greasy chain marks off an oily chain. However, for it to be effective, you must re-lube about every 200 miles (+ or -). That's not as bad as it sounds since it takes just a few moments to place a drop on each link. Muk-Off makes a fantastic product and keeps my chain humming along and does exactly what it's supposed to do- keep chain wear to a minimum for happy, trouble-free biking. Read more
