Bottom Line: AFTER 4 MONTHS, IT'S DEAD. Overview: Mediocre cleaning device, poor mopping, HORRIBLE Wi-Fi issues, HORRIBLE app I've owned a few smart vacuum cleaners over the years including Shark, Roomba, and a Eufy. None had the mopping feature so I wanted to try it out and this seemingly had good reviews. I went in with a very open mind, hoping this would keep the house a little cleaner between weekly mopping. We host 40-60 people weekly at our house- I know, we're crazy. Pro's: -It cleans (when it works) -It mops (in the sense that it gets the pad at the back wet with water and drags it around) -Build quality actually seems pretty decent for the device itself -It doesn't cost $2000 Con's: -Constant Wi-Fi connection issues. One of my roles in the enterprise world is configuring and managing enterprise networks. What I've determined- this device either only works on certain Wi-Fi channels of the 2.4Ghz band or I've got a defective unit. Reading other reviews, this appears to be a common issue. It started as just occassional occurences of the device showing as "Offline" in the app, to it now being unable to connect to any Wi-Fi network, regardless of configuration. I've spent a good 5 hours troubleshooting this. -The App is poor and not regularly updated. The application is clunky, to put it best. I managed to get everything configured and working properly (when it worked), but settings regularly wouldn't save or seemingly be lost and require re-entering. It honestly seems like the company just wants you to buy the device and doesn't care about the long-term experience of an individual device model. They churn out new models all the time. For the money, this is a great vacuum and mop combination device. It vacuums very well, picking up the smallest of debris. I need to be careful as my kids leave things around and items larger than 3/4 inch can get stuck in the main brush and wheel areas. The mopping is ok, but programming is a little more difficult if you have more rugs and obstacles. The battery life is great if you keep it on eco clean, which still does a great job cleaning. The stronger the cleaning speed, the more battery you use. I get about 80-90 minutes on eco as it has to go over rugs a lot and speeds up. The app is easy to use and navigate. The instructions do a good job giving tips for room programming. The eco cleaning is not noisy, but higher speeds get more noisy. Overall, I would give the noise level a 4/5. Sometimes the device has some difficulty finding the charging station and takes a lot longer. Other times, it goes right to the charging station. Also, I have had to self clean the device as more debris can clog the chamber. Overall, it is a great value for the money. There are a couple flaws, but it does a great job vacuuming and cleaning. Controlling the robot vacuum is easy with multiple options, if you’re a tech savvy person you can easily install their app and fully customize and program it to run however you like. For people that rather not do it remotely, you can easily just press the start button on the robot and let it do it’s thing. I’m especially thrilled with my Laresar Clean Robot Vacuum’s ability to truly “set-it-and-forget”. The 3L dust bag holds all the dirt, and the app makes it easy to know when to replace it. To get a notification in lieu of having to check the dust bag periodically to see if it’s full has been very convenient and just overall a win. I am also very impressive with it’s ability to do room scans. It doesn't just randomly bump around; it follows a clear path (You can even see the perfectly cleaned lines on your carpet almost like after mowing your lawn.) Lastly what I like the most is that it even glides under furniture and into corners, which was a very good surprise. I was worried about dust clumps hiding in the edges but this device handles it with ease. One thing that I would like to special mention is the robot vacuum’s suction power, it tackles both hardwood floors and carpets with ease. I’ve tested it on several surfaces, and it adjusts itself for an effective clean every time. Lastly when the cleaning session is finished, the robot vacuum walks back to its charging station and the self-cleaning function also appears to be very effective. I thought the setup of the vacuum was pretty simple. You just have to remove a few foam pieces that protect the vacuum during shipping and pop in the brushes. If you want it to "mop", then you'll need to put on the mop attachment and add water to the removable container. The mopping consists of dragging a damp cloth across the floor while it vacuums. I don't think other robot vacuums are any different. The base already has a dust bag installed. The vacuum also already has a filter installed. You get an extra mop cloth, vacuum filter, and dust bag in the box. You will need a 2.4ghz Wi-Fi connection to get the vacuum connected to the internet. I thought the instructions were easy to follow. The vacuum has a " Wi-Fi hotspot". During the setup, you'll have to connect to the vacuum's Wi-Fi connection. Once connected, you'll get all the features in the app. It'll show you your cleaning time, sweeping map, and battery percentage. You can select specific zones on the map to clean; you can have different maps for different rooms; you can restrict areas of the room; etc. There's different languages (English, Spanish, Italian, German, French) and you can change the voice announcer volume.You can change how often it empties the dust bin from the vacuum, suction level, etc. It also looks like there's Alexa and Google Assistant integration, but I don't use those so I'm not sure how well it works. Overall, it's pretty full featured. The vacuuming itself is pretty good. It'll try to map out the outlines of the room first. Once it's done outlining the room, it'll sweep up and down the room, then sideways. I thought it was thorough enough. It didn't look like it missed any spots. I haven't swept in a while and I can feel that my floor is cleaner. There were a few times I was worried it was stuck, but it's good at unstucking itself. It'll try to lift itself out using a combination of turning and pushing itself up with its wheels. It also got into a very narrow area of my room and was able to make it back out fine. This Laresar Clean Robot Vacuum, is the first robotic vacuum cleaner I have ever purchased. This was a better value than what I have seen in stores so I decided to give it a try. I have thought about getting one of these over the years but never did until now. To be honest, I thought these robotic vacuums would not really do a good job and thought that if it did, it would need to be emptied very often. I am pleased to admit that I was wrong on both counts. This cleaner has plenty of suction and does an excellent job cleaning, and it actually empties what it picked up into its docking base automatically. The system was packaged very well. After unpacking it, I downloaded the app on my iPhone and the setup of the vacuum was straight forward. Within a few minutes it started vacuuming and auto-mapping as it went. This works well on my carpet and hardwood floors. The manual that comes with it is complete and an easy read. I am very impressed with this product. First the Packing, My personal experience is that a company that takes care of the presentation, protection and packaging of their product is a great first step, and I included photos about their packing because right away you have the feeling that you made a good choice. And it was, this Robot Vacuum is a much better upgrade than I was expecting when deciding to replace our Deebot N79, the selling point for us was the self emptying feature, the suction power is excellent, does an amazing work picking debris, hair dust and everything else around, It was very easy to setup following the very detailed instructions on the manual but mostly following few steps on the app. The app guides you through all steps effortlessly, The mapping is incredibly easy and accurate and the Robot navigates around effortlessly and very precise, works perfectly on tile, carpet and area rugs, Mopping feature was impressive because we weren’t expecting much of it but worked really well, and for us the self emptying base is such a time saver by reducing the times and time of cleaning it manually.
