Feels really good, from the leather binding to the paper. It is fun to flip the paper pages as it feels like it is very old. I'm adding to a Halloween display and probably will have my artistic child make a few drawings in it and she also dabbles with calligraphy. Read more

This is such a beautiful leather bound journal! It looks exactly as advertised, the leather is soft and pliable, the pages look hand pressed and hand cut. The paper is rough and thick, just like an old book would be. I think a wiccan would absolutely love this journal. I'll be using it for family recipes, lol. Read more

The paper is so rough and ill formed that I've yet to find a writing instrument that isn't exhausting to try and write with on it. Maybe a brush pen would work, but even pencils are tiresome to wield on it--and the contrast is so bad you'll strain your eyes trying to read it. It may technically be leather bound, but the decoration feels like a plastic decal adhered to the surface, and interior is lined with something like groundcloth, so that what leather there is is drowned out by plastic. Much more yellow in person, and these pages are WAY more tattered and darker than the pictures make it look. But the smell of these pages? It smells like what i would inagine the embalming room of a tree mortuary would smell like. Im gonna try airing it out to see if the smell will dissipate, but i dont have hope. Read more
