The gloves are poorly designed. The thumb covers are not long enough when down/closed, and are at the same level as the top of the thumb part of the glove, leaving a gap, letting in the wind, cold & rain!!! Very disappointed with Sealskinz's ill thought out & poor design, obviously not tested in the field (outside in the cold)!!! Been suffering from freezing fingers and these have worked perfectly. I feel a bit chilling wearing mittens but as they keep me warm that’s all that counts. Being easily converted to fingerless gloves they are great for dog walks when I need to pick stuff up or dish out a treat - then can put the mitten bit back over and continue to be warm without having to take gloves off. Excellent. Warm, really useful when needing your fingers. Used for walking and astronomy, easy to change podcasts on the phone or change an eyepiece. Good fit, comfy. Have worn them in torrential rain, where they did get wet, but my hands were stayed warm. Good value if you need to use your hands in the cold. Read more
