I got these pads to help with my jaw pain and movement. My Jaw is not aligned properly just about all my life. Was told the only fix was surgery which I opted not to do. At times stress makes it hard for me to even move my jaw and therefore difficult to eat. I have tried using these exercise pads and feel more movement in my jaw. from working my jaw muscles. It never occurred to me that strengthening my jaw muscles would help me eat.No healthcare professional has ever suggested strengthening my jaw which would make total sense to do. . My 16 year old grandson is heavily into wrestling and he has become somewhat obsessed with a certain image that he wants to project. He lifts weights and runs every day. He uses a device on a universal gym set to strengthen and grow his neck muscles. He chews gum wads nearly the size of a tennis ball to "work" on his jawline. I swear I think he might be insane. When I saw this I mentioned it to him and he asked me to order it for him. Anything that will cut down on the constant wads of gum turning the contents of the trash cans in my house into some sort of ridiculous modern sculpture is okay with me. The set contains six silicone blocks in three different sizes and resistance densities, two a piece, for each side of the jaw. Each comes with an individual plastic container to store them in when you are finished with them. There is no smell or taste to the blocks and they easily fit into the mouth without any problems. My grandson has been using them now for nearly a week and while it made his jaw hurt for the first couple of days (I think he overdid it like he does most things) he got used to it and now does his "jaw sets" about four times a day. I told him that if in two months he doesn't look like David Hasselhoff I'll go back and change this review which earned me a quick bird. I guess we'll just have to wait. The packaging is well done and it makes it easy to store. Washing these is easy which is important when you're dealing with all that drooling. The price point on this is a little high as it is only nine pieces of silicone and a cardboard box but the items are solid and the cases close tightly so I gave it the extra star for the full five. I didn't know things like this even existed but I guess if there's a market for it then it will get out there. It seems to satisfy my grandson so that's enough for me.
