I typically wear either a medium or large, depending on the type of product and the brand. Especially with coats and jackets, I have to be careful which size I choose. I often go with a large, figuring it's better to size up and get something a little too large than end up with something too small and tight to wear over my other clothes. I ordered this in a large and that was probably the right choice. My shoulders and chest are broad. Crossing my arms in this, I can feel the pull of the back of the jacket on my back, but when my arms hang loose at my side the jacket fits loose. That seems like a good compromise. My biceps are somewhat large also, and the sleeves of this jacket pull on them when I bend my elbows but remain loose otherwise. A thick hoodie can be worn under this jacket with comfort while still allowing movement. My waist is narrow, and this causes problems with this large sized jacket. The included faux belt is only two separate bands sewn onto each side of the jacket where they start. This means I am unable to remove the belt. That is unfortunate because the waist of this jacket is much larger than my own waist. When I pull the belt to tighten the waist, I run out of belt holes for the buckle. I'm short about one more hole for a comfortably tight fit at my waist. Since I can't remove this belt, I can't replace it with a tighter one. I like most other things about this jacket. The numerous pockets, snaps and zippers are nice quality. The concealed carry pocket inside is of a good size and cut. The faux leather is quite stiff while new, but I expect it to soften some after wearing for a time. While the lining is nothing special, it is comfortable and practical. Read more
