Awesome in my triple screen sim rig with a ASUS Strix RTX4090 OC. At 3840 x 2160 4k I can only get 120Hz with the 4090 but that's about all I can get with the current race sims so its fine. The option to go 1080p 480Hz is a bonus if needed. I just hope they last as they are quite pricy. Read more

Its an okay monitor light bar, it is very expensive for the price when its competitors does the job a lot better for a lower price. The front light is bright and fine, but it doesn't diffuse the lighting too well on my desk. However, the backside RGB lighting has extremely low brightness. It doesn't help it any further for when you turn on the front light itself, the RGB lighting's brightness further decreases substantially. Build quality is overall great, but the scroll wheel to adjust the light feels kind of flimsy. It has a detachable USB C to USB A cable which is nice. Comparison vs Razer Aether Monitor Light Bar: This uses only 5W vs Razer's 10W, resulting in the Razer having much brighter RGB and lighting in general. The Razer also does not dim the RGB at all when having both the front and backlights on at the same time, while the ASUS dims the RGB lighting considerably when you turn on the front light. The ASUS RGB lighting is not that bright to begin with either. Razer's cable is not detachable whereas the ASUS allows you to unplug the cable from the unit. The Asus can also detach the light bar itself from the mount. The Razer also seems to diffuse the lighting over surfaces much better on my desk than the ASUS. I actually kind of like the way you mount the ASUS light bar on your monitor, as it is more flexible with being able to flip the front clip and adjust the tightness in the back. The Razer leaves a gap on my Alienware monitor and the cable going into the underside does not help, whereas the ASUS has the cable going over the mounting and is also more flush with my monitor. Overall, this light bar by ASUS is very overpriced for what you get, and is not worth it vs a lower priced competitor. Read more

I bought this after I tried the LG W-OLED because I couldn't handle the buzzing from the LG's fan. This model is fanless and makes no noise. The monitor itself looks really good and I have no issues with the features. If I had to change anything I think I would go with a stand more similar to what LG has: I don't like this 3 legged stand design. I also don't really care for the chin on the Asus monitor, I think LG's design was much cleaner. The LG stand also went a bit higher up, but overall the Asus feels and looks more premium. Read more

ASUS ROG Aura Monitor, Asus Quality, but at best extremely basic, the front light bar is impressive and well, thats it. The rear RGB isnt bright, doesnt project onto wall or room at all. At this price point a logo, better projection would be expected. My previous ColorPanda LIGHT bar had better Feature as well as the Benq. The intergration with Armory Crate doesnt offer anything NADA, just the ability to sync with Aura Sync. This isnt worth 160 not even worth 50.00 dollars. Theres no smart features and no way to control light besides physically touching the bar. Again not to nitpick but at this price point it lacks features to justify the price. Overall amazing monitor if you have the capital. Comes with variety of top notch cables as well and works with VESA mount. I hung it on my wall mounted setup and it looks beautiful. Initially, the oled brightness is weird to get used to, but in a week or so your eyes adjust. I ended up reducing the brightness from 100 to 20/50 depending on the game I'm playing. The screen is matte with a slight gloss, great for bright environments. One minor detail is I'm not sure if it's just my monitor but the backlight settings are present, but I don't see an actual backlight. Additionally, the logo doesn't change color either when I change it in settings. Maybe I'm missing something obvious here? Read more

This monitor is quite amazing and firmware is top notch. 5 stars but I'm exchanging for UCDM model simply because I can control the ambient light environment to gain better contrast and color levels. I prefer the anti reflection coating this monitor has and HDR looks great and handles dark scenes with zero OLED flicker. My only concern is that the colours just didn't hit the mark for me which is pretty much the only drawback I could find with this product. Pros: - Handles bright ambient room light very well -No OLED flicker that I could notice when using in dark scenes when using variable refresh rate -Dual mode function for 1080p in FPS games -HDR in supported games amazing. -Super high peak brightness Cons: -Frequently selling above MSRP for whatever reason -HDR didn't hit the mark on unsupported games and further desaturated colors. (Disabling HDR mostly fixed this) -Colour aren't as vibrant and noticeably lacking compared to cheaper high quality IPS gaming monitors. Read more

This Asus light bar does not fit on a current Asus monitor. If you have the PG49WCD this light bar is not compatible. Both are ROG STRIX branded but there are no provisions for compatibility. Sad. Read more
