I have no complaints of the scooter at this moment. They were bought for my two sons one's 11 One is 13 so they can get around they do cold quite fast but I've been apparent like Mom. I did follow them around in my car making sure they were driving it properly and being responsible before they were allowed out on their own. I would say it can go a good 30 km keeping up to a person in a car in a school zone. It is sturdy. It doesn't seem to wobble. It has good fast brakes. Think the only downfall for them would be that it's very heavy. So when you're bringing it into the house or having to lift it, it can be a little more difficult for them. But they are not adults for my husband. There's no issue. It has a good charge. If you've charged it well it seems to go quite far in distance. Horrible ground clearance - it’s just 2 inches off the ground so putting it on or off a sidewalk is a hassle, and you need to get off the scooter for any speed bumps 2. Zu allererst zur Lieferung, schneller als die Feuerwehr! Bestellt, zwei Tage später schon da. Und erst am vierten Tag wurde das Geld abgebucht. Auch kein Karton beschädigt! Dann ging es ans auspacken, solide schön mit Styropor Formschalen im Karton verpackt. Das Teil rausgehoben, Ständer ausgeklappt, Lenker mit vier versenkten Imbus Wurmschrauben montiert. App installiert, Grundeinstellung mit Losungswort vorgenommen, das alles in 15 Minuten. Nach 20 min. war ich draußen und ab geht die Post. Solide verarbeitet, top Qualität zu einem Hammer Preis! Läuft wie eine Rakete. Geschwindigkeit ist der Hammer, ganze 31 km/h. Eine mechanische und eine elektronische Bremse, die elektronische kann man auch per App einstellen, wie schnell und kraftvoll sie zu packen soll. Dadurch entsteht wiederum Energy die zusätzlich den Akku lädt. Der Hammer ist auch die Beleuchtung, vorne tolle LED die perfekt und weit ausleuchtet. Hinten mit Rücklicht und Bremslicht. Auch die seitlichen Flanken sind rot beleuchtet. Vollgummi Bereifung spricht für sich. Etwas härter als Luftreifen, dafür kein herum murksen beim Luftpumpen. Trittbrett ausreichend breit genug. Beschleunigung lässt sich auch per App einstellen. Reichweite kann ich noch nichts sagen. Spritzwassergeschützt. Pfützen sollte man aber besser meiden. [UPDATE: May -April 2024 It has almost been a year since I have been with Hiboy and I have got to say that the scooter has definitely served as a staple within my life. I don’t have a car so this is my main means of transportation. I want to mention that despite pieces becoming damaged or questionable faulty issues within a particular piece, Hiboy has not let me down as far as replacements. Of course, with video/photo evidence, they want to see what the issue is. Upon understanding of issue, they have sent me any and all pieces needed to remedy the situation. A big help has been them sending me inner tubes for my flats and even a tire once the tread had wore down. I’ve also received a stem, some side covers, a fender, etc. anything the scooter may lack is covered by the company in responsiveness and willingness to assist in the remedy of said problems. I’m about 200lbs and bags usually weigh between 10-30 lbs. scooter still gets me up hills and zips me across my areas streets. Definitely will move faster the lighter you are so lose some weight buddy. Also , I have never had an issue with the head lights. That’s pretty cool. (April 9, 2024) ] May 26 , 2023- q we Upon opening the box for this product, I was met with a fairly simple set up. Everything comes pretty much put together, and the handlebar is the only part that needs to be attached (6 screws completed with Allen key that is provided). The wiring that must be manually connected in the neck was a bit sketchy as I had to “find” a way to get it all to fit while securing the neck closed. Didn’t want to squeeze or rupture anything. GOOD: The scooters riding capability is great. It catches speed pretty quickly and has zero-start capabilities. Just for comparison purposes, I’m about 183 lbs, and 5’8.5 ft. The scooter has me feeling as if I weigh less the way it zips me around. I’ve also went small grocery shopping and also carry a backpack with items often and it has no problem handling the extra load. Mind you, hill performance will be slightly affected depending on weight. It climbs hills at a solid speed , about 11-14 mph and even greater depending on hill size. I’ve got some pretty steep hills in my area just for reference. The scooter is pretty solid in frame. It has a wide platform for great standing stability and the rubber grip is very helpful. The motor compartment sits pretty low so watch for speed bumps. I walked over a few speed bumps first to get a reference for which speed bumps to go over and which to stop for. It’s pretty heavy to carry for long distances. I ride to my location and fold it up and place it on a bus or train or under shopping carts in stores. I do it outside so no one says anything. I’ve caught speeds of about 25 mph going downhill and felt pretty stable and safe. You do fee bumps and cracks though so be weary. Hold bars lightly yet firmly. All in all, it’s a great All-around scooter, whether you’re commuting or just out for a joyride. NOT SO GOOD: Unfortunately I have to return mine. A day after receiving my scooter, I noticed my scooter starting to stall and make aggressive jerking and grinding sounds. This would happen when going from zero to start, when slowing down via letting go of throttle and then pressing throttle again to speed up, breaking, and then throttling after breaking. It has glitched while trying to cross roads and that had worried me a bit. Mind you, I’ve never dropped my scooter or pushed it past any limit imposed. I rode to a park one day and when I went to leave my scooters MPH section said I was going 23 mph and I was simply walking the scooter. It started glitching more before giving me the E7 error code. It’s only been under 2 weeks and I’m receiving error codes. Unfortunately I can’t ride it anymore and am sending it back. Customer service is so/so. They asked for photos to see if it was a problem I could fix myself. It’s a motor issue which I cannot do myself so they’ve asked if I wanted a replacement. No word back from them yet but I am hoping that they follow through. ( THEY FOLLOWED THROUGH. SENT A NEW SCOOTER TO ME ONCE I SENT THE FAULTY ONE BACK TO THEM) I hope that my incident was a rare one and isolated. Would not want other riders’ scooters giving out in front of passing cars or on busy road ways. That poses a definite danger. I’ve taken this back and forth 8 miles/ day for months worth of going to work and back and it has been good performance for the price. Its top speed is 19 mph, if you are going downhill and it hits 20 mph the brakes automatically kick in (I wish they didn’t, it’s a waste of power). IMPORTANT: there is performance mode and energy efficient mode. In performance mode you will get MAYBE 8 miles before it dies, and the last mile will be a significant speed reduction. Takes a few hours to fully charge. AT LEAST 4 hours if it’s near dead or dead. After months of riding the main control grip for power is kind of sticky, and so are the brakes; it will just lightly auto-brake sometimes and reduce my speed. By flicking the brake a few times it’ll stop sticking. I feel like I’ve used it enough to get my money out of it before that started happening. Overall I am happy with the purchase, I have used it many times in thirty degree weather and it is still holding together and running fine. I’m happy with it for the price of $450 (I got it during lightning deals). I wish the battery life was longer at higher speeds. No traction on ice/snow/mud of course which is fine for what it is. I would buy this brand again. I don’t have the seat but there is a detachable seat option available. I live in the country and it also handles dirt roads fine as long as they are not very wet. It does road hills fine too. PERFECT for inner city travel. And passable for other areas. It might be worth it to spend a little more for longer battery life and slightly higher top speed but this was a great scooter for my 1st one I’m glad I bought it. Read more
