Das Material fühlt sich gut an. Habe das Lila gekauft, die ist lackiert. Sie hat sichtbar keine "nasen", ist aber an der ein oder anderen stelle innen etwa dicker, kann man aber einfach abkratzen ohne dass man es sieht. Die Schrauben sind überwiegend gut. Manche sind etwas geschlossen oben, aber es sind so viele drin, dass man genug gute dabei hat! Doppelte Menge Antirutsch und schrauben waren bei mir drin. Displayverklebung ist klasse und echt easy, auch wenn es einmal so aussieht, als ob man sie krumm geklebt hätte ist aber nicht der Fall. Einzig den Einschalter hab ich nicht mehr so geil hinbekommen. Üblicherweise springt der immer zurück in seine Ausgangsposition. Meiner tut dies nicht mehr, aber funktioniert trotzdem. Würde trotzdem immer wieder diese bestellen. I bought the Chameleon Purple Blue variant of this shell. But it was a bit of a journey for me to put it all together. To start with the good stuff, this is a really beautiful-looking shell! It feels great to hold, tho it has a different feel from an original DS Lite shell. It still feels good in its own way. The build quality is very good, tho not perfect (will get back to that later). The instruction video is also really well done and never felt confusing or misleading to me. And the kit is pretty well packed with useful extras and replacement parts. Now for the more critical parts. First off, one of the buttons I received was wrong. Instead of an A-button, I received an extra B-button instead. Luckily they have great customer support, as I contacted them about the issue and they sent me a new buttons-kit for free. Tho it took 2 weeks for the package to arrive, as it was shipped directly from China. There was also an issue with my kit where the build quality unfortunately faultered, and that was with the shoulder buttons. While the R-button fit perfectly out of the box, the L-button didn't. It was in constant contact with the clicky button on the motherboard. So I had to solve it by using a piece of sandpaper and slightly trim down the part of the L-button that comes in contact with the button on the motherboard. After that, it was a perfect fit also. And lastly, I had issues with the speakers in this shell. The audio level kept randomly peaking on certain bright sounds, due to a lack of pressure between the shell and the speakers. So I had to fix it by using tape pieces on the speakers to force more pressure on them. And that did the trick, the speakers worked like they should afterward. There were other issues I encountered during installation, but they were mainly issues that were of my own fault. So a few tips and things to be cautious of for anyone who wishes to try this themselves: - Be very gentle with the ribbon cable that goes from the top screen to the console. When you're trying to get it out of the hinge, roll it as thin as you can, without outright bending it. - Use primarily the screws from your original systems, unless they are in bad condition. The included screws in the kit are known to get stripped easily, so only use them if it's a must. - look out for holes and openings in the insulation for the speaker wires. I had some random background interference the first time I put it together. After reopening it, I discovered a small hole in one of the wires. After covering it with tape, there was no interference. - Try and get as much as possible right with the unit before closing completely. It may be of good quality, but it's not super sturdy for constantly closing and reopening. One of the hooks on the top screen backside that latches onto the frontside got bent, so I had to bend it back with a tweezer. In the end, the installation was a complete success and there were no visible openings or bendings in the shell. Despite some of the shortcomings with this kit, I'm still satisfied with it. I can tell that the company behind these is a serious one and if I wanna re-shell another DS Lite in the near future, I'll most likely buy from this company again. Read more

Purchased the white shell kit and a set of black buttons. No issues with replacing the shell kit. Not a perfect shell though (couple little gaps when put together but not really noticeable unless you're really being picky. I'd buy this shell again though. Read more
