This is so much fun for kids! Being able to alter your voice into that of a monster, a baby, a man, or a woman makes this toy something a child can play with for hours even if they are only playing with it on their own. Of course it’s even more fun when you have friends to share the fun. Or take it with you when you visit extended family; it’s bound to be a hit with children of every age and it’s even better when the adults join in. Imagine Grampa singing like he’s a baby and Grandma singing like she’s a monster. The rainbow lighting effects really add a lot to the party atmosphere. This karaoke machine travels very easily with the speaker portion measuring only ~ 8.5 cm x 9 cm x 7 cm (3.5” x 3.5” x 2.8”). Everything is completely wireless and built-in batteries are easily recharged using the included cables. This is a toy that is made to last. The grill on the speaker is made of aluminum and elsewhere the plastic is thick and robust. Rounded corners further help the speaker to survive falls. However, you do need to be careful not to get sand or dirt into the ports at the back of the speaker. Controls on this machine are manageable for a child who has had practice with them but could be simpler. Annoying though they may be, the set-up is pretty standard for karaoke machine controls so I’m not going to deduct any stars for this. On the microphone itself you can change its volume and you can cycle between using one’s original voice versus one of the 4 altered versions of it. This is a great toy for kids. I will be honest and say that I was not expecting much with this machine when I got it at this price point. I was pleasantly surprised because it works surprisingly well. For it to have all these different features and to work as well as it does at this price is really kind amazing to be honest. It lasts for a good amount of time on the charges and the range is also quite good. The carrying handle makes it easier to carry around and its not overly heavy. The glowing lights are also a nice addition and just overall very pleased with this product. Other manufacturers should take notice with how much they included for such a great price. Read more
