It takes some getting used to, getting the coffee grind and dose level correct, as well as the best beans to use (which is obvs more personal taste). Once I'd made several cups as trial and error and used barista videos on YouTube etc I found the best setting and have not looked back and use this machine several times a day and haven't touched my Nespresso machine since. The cold brew feature takes a while to make the coffee but it is very good. At the time I bought this it was around £150 cheaper than John Lewis, but the price here on Amazon kept fluctuating greatly and I got a good deal. Keep at it if you buy it, it'll be worth it. We have had a Sage machine for a while and when that developed a problem and we couldn't find anyone to repair it, we bought this DeLonghi machine instead. We love it. Just as sturdy as our Sage machine. We were sceptical about the grinder guide, but wow, no mess, so we are hooked. The steamer stops automatically and everything about the machine is great. Cleaning is easy, but can take an hour with all the rinses, but the machine is doing all that. My only criticism is the location of the on/off button on the side, it looks us ages to find it the first time! Otherwise a brilliant machine for the money, and as good as, if not better than, our old Sage machine. Read more

I recently purchased the De'Longhi La Specialista Arte Evo EC9255.M, attracted by its features and the brand's reputation. Unfortunately, my experience with this product has been far from satisfactory. Within a short period of ownership, I encountered significant issues with both the grinder and coffee pump ceasing to function. Efforts to resolve these problems through the designated repair service proved frustrating and unsuccessful, compounded by a lack of professionalism and accountability from the service team. Despite multiple repair attempts, the machine remains dysfunctional, with issues unresolved and additional parts missing post-service. This ordeal has not only inconvenienced me but also led to unexpected additional expenses without a resolution in sight. I had high expectations for this coffee machine and the support services behind it, but my experience has been disheartening. I cannot recommend this product based on the quality of customer service and reliability issues I've encountered. Read more
