I decided to try the buckle style restraints rather than the regular for all around ease of use. These do not disappoint and there is no loosening of the straps when secured properly, hence no way to escape unless you are very nimble and can get to the buckle which is virtually impossible. Pros: - Wide cuffs - Lots of padding - Secure velcro strap and then buckle - Longer length strap for attaching to bed or other stationary object, this strap is fully adjustable - No loosening of any strap when properly secured - Virtually no escape once on - Buckle closure is strong and tight Additional notes: - Fits a single bed well, staps are almost too short for a double bed - Fits either hands or legs well - Comfortable for longer term wear if applicable I would have liked to see this as a 4 pack for full restraint purposes, however the price is reasonable for the set of 2. Overall I have no complaints with these, they hold secure, can't release yourself when attached to hands and secured properly. The cuffs of these restraints are very soft and very comfortable and there is no chafing or irritation at all from the cuffs. The plastic buckles that connect the cuffs to the straps are very secure and hold well, even when under stress from being pulled on. The straps are a little on the short side but the the slick style webbing makes them easy and quick to adjust. One thing you might want to keep in mind is that these cuffs are not a quick installation. They need to be fastened via a hook and loop fastener and then once that is done to adjust for size, another hook and loop strap feeds through a fastening buckle and connects to the cuff. If the patient is struggling, this might make this operation next to impossible without the assistance of another person. Other than that, these are great restraints.
