It's SO hard to find the right shade in foundation for fair maidens with pink undertones. Most are too yellow, too orange or too grey. For context, my perfect shade match in a high end foundation is Lancome 100N. But for daily wear, I was faithful to physicians formula for years- "the healthy foundation'' in shade ''LC1" .... and sadly, it's unavailable now. I proceeded to try every drug store brand to find a new love only to turn up dissatisfied for one reason or another, they all seemed to lack something, even other Maybelline products just appeared too thick on my face..... then this comes across my feed and I'm glad I took a chance. I could not be happier with this product. It's dewy, but not shiny or greasy, thin as skin, but no uneven redness peaking, the *exact* correct tone for me, washes right off - no scrubbing, but yet seems to have a full work day staying power. The photo is in natural window light, no primer, no powder, no filter. I'd just like to thank this company for coming through for the pink princesses of the cosmetic kingdom. I hate having heavy layers on my face. I just can't stand the way it feels. I typically apply a lightweight serum, and moisturizer if needed, and take a tiny brush and only apply foundation to any red spot, or blemish, and then apply a bit under my eyes if I have dark circles. I leave the rest of my face bare of any foundation before applying lipstick and whatever eye makeup I'm wearing for the day. I apply this product the same way, because I don't apply things where I don't need them, but it's nice to know if I had to put this all over my face it would feel like I was wearing nothing at all. It just melts into my skin, and blends seamlessly, and stays on for hours. I don't know if it would really last 24 hours, because I refuse to sleep in makeup of any kind, but I have worn it for 18 hours on a couple of days when I had a lot to do, and it stayed put. It looks just like my skin, not like makeup. I will definitely buy this again. I bought the 102, and the color seems comparable to the L’Oréal True Match C2 for anyone that needs to know. Read more

It takes a lot for me to go through an entire bottle of foundation. This one I wear nearly every day! It is comfortable, long lasting and medium to buildable coverage. I don't particularly love the squeeze applicator, but I can get past it for the product its self (Maybelline, please make this with a pump)! This is a true "natural" finish foundation. It is not matte, but not overly dewy. It sits right in the middle. I have combo/oily skin and have 0 issues with this foundation getting too oily or clinging to dry spots. I think most people with any skin type would enjoy this foundation. It definitely competes with higher end foundations in my collection and, if anything, has replaced 95% of them. I will give that it STAYS put but It looked like it accentuated any texture and lines and looked bad around my mouth, I really wanted to love this and make it work but it just ended up looking not good. Also has a "makeup" smell but its not bad. Read more

I find it helpful when reviews begin with the shade purchased & the person’s skin type - so here you go! - Shade 102 - Skin: Very fair with neutral undertones, acne-prone with some active pimples & blemishes, VERY sensitive, combination (oily in t-zone & dry in other areas), redness on cheeks & nose, noticeable dark under eye circles I’m so surprised at how wonderful this product is! I’ve tried so many foundations, BB creams, tinted moisturizers, & skin tints - but this is my new go-to. Shade matching has always been a challenge for my fair skin, so i was thrilled that shade 102 worked perfect for my very fair skin. It looks more pink-toned in the bottle and a little more neutral on my skin. I love how extremely lightweight this product is. It truly feels like I have nothing on & didn’t leave that “sticky” feeling that products often leave on top of skin. As cliche as this sounds, it really felt like it “melted into” my skin. It’s buildable without getting cakey. The subtle glow is *chef’s kiss*! It applied perfectly over my skincare routine & light primer. Plus - the dropper actually works! ALL of my other products laid beautifully on top (creams, powders, & setting spray). I saw no separation, no creasing, and no weird clinging to dry patches. I wore it for about 8 hours today and it still looked great! I did notice a *little* oiliness on my nose at the end of the day, but this is normal for my skin. I was curious to see if adding a little bit of powder would help/look good - and it did! 10/10…5 stars…round of applause! Application: I started out with a pea sized amount on the back of my hand & used my fingers to apply it to my face first - as if I were applying a moisturizer. Then I used a damp sponge to blend.
