So far these pencils have worked great on all the surfaces I have used them on. A lot better than a normal mechanical pencil. I have not tried the Red and Yellow refills yet so I don't know if they mark as good as the black. The sharpeners have worked well for me, I am usually pretty gentle to get a nice sharp tip. I face the blade up and turn the pencil inside to keep the shavings on the sharpener instead of all over the place, also so I can see the tip sharpening.. I like the protective sleaves, they have worked well to protect the tips in my pocket and when I store them. They might not be secure enough to hang outside of the pockets on active job sites. Expect to loose your pencils if you aren't careful.. I like using the Red and Yellow pencils, a lot easier to see where I left them. I was very disappointed that the 3 pack did NOT have the 36 refills as advertised and shown in the picture. It only came with 24 refills. And the pencils were preloaded with black not the colors in the picture. Read more
