These LCD "tablets" are usually marketed for kids for erasable writing practice and doodles. I like them for taking notes during my day that don't need to be saved or written down. It reduces my use of sticky notes and paper, meaning it also reduces paper clutter. I also like that the "pen" is snap-in, so I don't lose it. I don't have to hunt for paper and pen = less distraction while I work. If you've ever used one of these devices before, you know how fun and/or useful they can be. They're great for taking short notes, or for letting the kids draw or practise writing. I've had one before that (sadly) didn't survive a fall, and have wanted a new one. The size of this--smaller than a sheet of paper--is great to keep on the side table or desk. The lock switch works well to prevent accidentally erasing. My only quibble, and reason for a deduction, is that unlike every photo accompanying the listing, the screen is the multicolored background and NOT the flat light-green as shown (see photo). In fact, I cannot find any way to request one or the other on the product page at all. And the box it came in had checkboxes for both 'green' and 'colors' meaning both are available in theory. So, while it works well, I feel the need to subtract one star for only offering the one color yet fulfilling with the other. If this doesn't matter to you and your needs, feel free to consider this a 5-star. Tentatively recommended. Read more

I'm an avid list writer, and in my search for paper notepads I came across tablets. I hadn't thought of this before, and I like the idea. I can save the list and erase it when I choose. Of course, they're intended for kids, and I chose this one because it was plain black, looking more adult. Excluding the frame/stylus holder, the screen is the perfect size for my needs, 4 3/4 x 7", and it's extremely easy to use. The stylus writes a bit thick, so my messy handwriting is large, making this tablet only good for short to-do lists. In the product description, the picture shows a much finer line than you actually get with this stylus, and I would have much preferred that, so I only gave the product 3 stars. There's a hole in the frame so you can attach the stylus with a thin cord (not included). But I don't need to do that, the stylus fits securely in the holder at the top. I think the battery might be difficult to replace, it looks like it requires a tiny screwdriver (the kind that's in a reading glasses repair kit). But it's supposed to last 2 years, so I'll worry about that when I come to it. But this tablet is thin and flimsy. It's preferable to have it sitting on a table, or on top of a clipboard on my lap. But I like it! It's a fun and functional item. Read more
