This product went down hill. When I used to buy this in the original packets it was amazing, the way Ceremonial Grade Matcha is supposed to be. Unfortunately this product taste like every other low grade matcha on the market. Not worth the money at all anymore. I can’t get enough of this matcha. It is so delicate and delectable. I use 1/2 tsp in the morning in almond milk, plus 1/2 tsp in my overnight oats, topped with frozen blueberries in the morning. I am quite prone to nausea, and used a full tsp and had quite a tummy ache, but this happens with all brands of matcha. It was just so tasty that I wanted to enjoy more. If you have nausea, start with 1/2 tsp and separate the doses. It mixes easily into warm water and blends so nicely with vanilla almond milk. I never really enjoyed matcha until I tried one from a small business near my house. Problem is, I shouldn’t be buying a drink everyday so I decided to go on a hunt for matcha powder. I thoroughly enjoyed this one as it doesn’t have that fishy/grassy taste that I’ve had in the past. It’s easy to digest and I wouldn’t say it’s a strong matcha. 1 tsp is a good amount for my iced matcha lattes where it’s not too strong on the flavor, bonus is there is no after bitterness that some other matchas have. I add one pump of brown sugar because I like a slight sweetness and I use oatmilk to pair it with. I recently came back from Japan and became a matcha lover because of that and have certain expectations regarding how well the matcha should smell and taste. I ordered the vanilla flavor assuming that this would be a nice twist to the matcha I’ve been eating thus far and boy was a WRONG. This matcha is appalling and honestly an embarrassment. I ordered it last week and came in today and after trying it I immediately felt the need to write this review to make sure people know what they are in for when buying this product. For the price I paid, it is extremely not worth it. It is completely overpriced and takes absolutely horrid. DO NOT waste your money on this. so i got this during starbucks matcha shortage , and its okay but in comparison no matcha so far matches starbucks . (please keep in mind i prefer matcha for yummy creamy iced lattes to give me some energy in the morning n not necessarily for its health benefits) this matcha DOES taste good and is way more natural compared to starbies , but my only problem is the price range . i think the price for the tiny canister that you get is kinda wild .
