he description says that it is self-inflating and has an internal pump, however this pump did not work and it had to be blown up by mouth or by pump. Also, it is very thin and could puncture very easily. However, the plus side is if you are looking for something thin and lightweight, it fits that bill, almost like a pool float, but a bit more durable. We did not have time to return it as we were leaving country, so maybe with the working pump action it would be easier to deal with. It worked for us for three semi-comfortable nights of sleep. The bed did not stay inflated well, and maybe if we had had a pump to inflate it better it would have been more comfortable. We will keep it for camping as it is very compact and could serve well for car camping overnight or weekend trips if used with a liner to prevent punctures. I'd still recommend it if you are looking for something thin, lightweight, inexpensive, etc. Just be aware you may have to blow it up by mouth. It was not too hard to do, but did not inflate fully.
