One layer of this polygel won't be enough to make it opaque, you'll need a second layer to build up the color closer to the cuticle and to make sure the apex is thick enough. After I added a second layer and filed it down to smooth it out it looked much better but if you're new to patting down the gel it can be tricky and it will take time to get it in the right place. I added some cat eye gel polish on top and it looks really good. The last 3 pictures are almost 3 weeks of growth. I applied these nails the weekend after Christmas and so far they look good. No lifting at the cuticle or the nail underneath. They look much more grown out than they are. I used my nail Dremel to clean up the cuticle area and I filed a tad bit too much. 4 stars because of the lack of opacity and although the first two pictures are 2 different colors you can barely tell. One is slightly more red and the other is a little more pink. One is 322 and the other is 242. The 277 has the slightest pink hue to it which is why I used a nice pink cat eye to go over it. 277 is very opaque so a much better color and I didn't need a second layer. The 3 colors were easy to work with you just need a second layer for a deeper color payoff. Also the 242 and 322 don't match the model pic. Read more

I am surprised at the low reviews. These are great. There is definitely a learning curve and you have to figure out what works for you. I think I did one nail 5 times, but eventually I got the hang of it and they look pretty decent, I think. They aren't pro level but for a total novice, I can't complain! Read more

Started learning to do hybrid gel nails. So far the product is pretty nice. Not too hard, not too soft in my opinion. Just be conservative with slip/alcohol or you can thin the gel out quickly. Also use a very soft touch to mold the gel otherwise the hairs dig into the gel and things start to get messy. Just bought 80+ colors from Modelones and can’t wait to see what they look like and how they apply. Hoping Modelones will be my go to nail product. Read more
