- well it needs to be because I'm very heavy with knee and hip problems. Haven't used it on excursions yet but it's great for getting to low level housework jobs as I can adjust the height accordingly. Have used mine several times now, on platform waiting for the train and on days out. Easy to use once you have the knack, sturdier than you’d think, fits easily into backpack, I’m 5’2” and at maximum height I find it just right not sure how someone any taller would manage, probably wouldn’t want to sit on it for more than 30 minutes at a time though but overall I would recommend.
