If you work with Mainstage and use a Roland Keyboard, this made set up of all pedals a breeze with an M version Mac. I did not need to load any Roland drivers and outside of the usual hold pedal being the sound advance, once assigned all pedals worked. In my last show I had to try several work arounds before ditching the Roland USB connector and using a midi out cable via a different box. I still had to load drivers. Get this. Worked out of the box and provided the functionality I needed. Then, I noticed connectivity began to drop and would only work if the cable was bent near the usb plug just so. Clearly, a broken wire inside, and not after multiple gigs - one hour. Garbage. The led lights are incredibly annoying, but they did help figure out the broken wire issue. Read more

We purchased this for the music program at our church, in order to run a midi Lowry organ through a laptop. We received it in August and it worked absolutely GREAT. I recommend reading and holding onto the installation cards and Customer service cards that came with the device, and following the directions exactly. We had music for services and rehearsals every week since installing it. But then in November it stopped working altogether. We reattached everything as directed. We tried different USB ports and a different laptop altogether. We even uninstalled the software that controlled the midi files thinking it might help but nothing. After some research, this is common apparently with these devices. Reached out to customer service and they reached out to us and helped us troubleshoot problem. Turns out the device may have had a malfunction. Seller graciously apologized for any issues and is resending a new device at no charge. We depend on the organ and the connection for our services. I guess if your looking for something short term this is great, but would recommend a backup if you depend solely on the device. Technology is what it is. Read more
