I purchased to replace a quality headlamp that I purchased maybe 15 years ago. The headlight piece is metal with what looks like a glass lens. The button is rubbery with a solid push button switch underneath. The wire has a heavyweight casing on it which is generally not done well in other quality head lights. The wire was designed well. The fabric that surrounds your head is fairly thick and wide enough. The battery casing is seemingly strong but not sure how well it would do if it hits the ground. The hinge pivots protrude and may break if they hit the ground - don't drop it. I am not saying the battery casing is cheap, but it is plastic. The strongest light is very bright and will thoroughly light up the area in front of you plus well over 50 feet. Not sure i would use if I was jogging. The headlamp is fairly heavy, but not a concern walking about. Definitely a great headlamp if you are willing to spend more for quality. Read more
