It is a 350W GPU, the fan is very powerful and keeps the card cool. 3090 is a powerful beast for video games and deep learning. Its 24G memory size is awesome! While definitely over priced, and hard to find, Gigabyte no longer makes this model, so it's a one of a kind. I've been using it about 2 months now without a hitch, and I get all the performance expected of a 3090. The blower style is loud to some, but coming from a blower style 5700 XT, I am satisfied with it's performance. With my headphone, I don't hear a thing. I was really excited for this GPU, unfortunately after using it for a day now I am very disappointed. The gpu runs amazingly well for about 30 seconds. After that the fan spins up to 100%, making a lot of noise. This happens when the gpu is at only 65 to 68 deg celcsius. After some research i found that in 3090s Nvidia used GDDR6X memory chips, which are overheating. They overheat easily in memory intensive workloads, and then the GPU internally measures this high temperature and tries to correct the problem by reducing clock speed on the core. Which means that now the gpu is overheating from the memory chips and the core clock is very slow and wasnt even the heatsource causing the problem. Additionally on my screen, which is running at 75hz, there was occasional flickering, and the screen would randomly turn black for about a second ever couple of minutes. From some searching I found also others with this problem, and changing settings or replacing cable did not help. On my old GPU my screen works just fine. These might or might not be issues that future software updates could fix, but for the price that I paid, of 2461 euro, I expect a perfectly working GPU that can sustain its 100% performance for longer than 30 seconds. So dont pay this much to become a beta tester of a GPU that was apparently released too early. Read more

Im using this in a 3d/rendering work machine where Im going to have multiple GPUs stacked up next to each other and blowers are the only way to go. With the power limit set to 71% in MSI Afterburner and an undervolt to 1700MHz@-.750mV the card reach a max temp of 60-65C in a room at 25C ambient. Fan is pretty loud as expected but it doesnt really bother me that much. Read more
