I'd like to start off by mentioning that this was my first ever cushion foundation. I was looking for a product that'd allow me to have the glass skin look, but unfortunately, this product wasn't as dewy as I would've liked. It is still a great product so no stars were taken off for that. When I first tried the product, I noticed that it clinged onto the dry patches of my skin (note: I have combo skin). But on my second try, I did my skincare routine beforehand and the product worked flawlessly--no dry patches were emphasized! This product isn't matte nor dewy, I'd say that it has a more natural finish. One could say that it's "your skin but better." ;-) Finally, the coverage is light to medium, the scent isn't strong but is slightly noticeable (it smells fresh, like cucumber melon), and the transfer on masks is rather minimal. It's tough trying to find a good compact cushion. I wanted to try this brand after seeing positive reviews on Youtube, especially since it seemed to be kind towards dry skin. The shade range is larger than other (less than $50) cushions, I purchased light vanilla, which matches my cool-toned pale skin really well. It has a natural-looking, semi-matte/satin finish, which I was initially worried about because I am so used to the dewy look. I really like it, though. My face doesn't feel cakey, and the coverage is long lasting and buildable. There is a slight perfume-y smell, but it's not obnoxious. This is my first time buying Etude’s foundation despite knowing how big the brand is in Korea. The foundation has a nice consistency and doesn’t cake up like most American drugstore brands I’ve used. The con is that because it is branded for East Asians, the shade range is very limited as pale, white skin is the beauty standard there. Since I have Asian skin time, the shades do suite me a lot better than American brands that I’ve used previously. The foundation has a nice cucumber scent and it applies nicely on my skin. This cushion feels very lightweight, you actually can't feel it on your face, the coverage is medium to get a very natural finish, like, your skin but way better. It does bright the skin. It's long lasting, I wore it for 12 hours and It stayed in place. The color looks darker in the picture that what it actually looks in person, so I'm gald I got the darkest one n23 sand that it's slightly light for me but it is the darkest available so; It does have a floral scent like roses, but for me it goes away right after I applied it. I have sensitive acne prone skin and it didn't bothered me just on my nose it itches a little bit but I think it was because I did exfoliate my face that day at morning... I am shooketh. I am a minimalist makeup fan. I love makeup and wearing makeup but in terms of my skin I focus on skincare and tend to use tints instead of full blown foundation. Etude House cushion foundation has been on my radar for a while. I finally gave in and I am SO mad at myself for not buying this sooner. It is so light on the skin, you can’t even tell you have anything on. It doesn’t make me break out. It is SPF. A little goes a long way. The coverage is INSANE. This has the best coverage I could find. The moisture level does make you set it with powder right away. Otherwise it will come off in the blink of an eye. I purchased ニュートラルベージュ which is (21N1 Neutral Beige) and it is a perfect match for someone who has skin that is commonly: 2nd level neutral undertone for light skin....meaning, it suits the person who tends to be the second from lightest neutral shade. I wear G11 in Glossier, Y225 in Makeup For Ever, and I would say that this product is a really good match for those, but it's just so faintly on the lighter side of what I wear normally. (It's pretty normal for Asian brand's makeup to have a slightly whiter cast...so buy a shade darker than you are used to!) I tried out 17N1 first, and it was shockingly white on me and I decided to return. The product: Nice packaging, there's a film over the mirror that needs to be removed. The application pad is round shaped and is normal in quality (not as nice as Missha's Glow in No23 Sand, which comes to a point on one side of the applicator, and has a nicer foam padding and snugger finger strap...but it's not bad either.) When you open up the bottom container, the sponge is very moist and holds a lot of product, so you only need to lightly tap the applicator. Despite the applicator simply seeming "regular" and not necessarily "nice", I would say that the actual makeup inside the Double Lasting cushion beats out Missha's Glow. It produces a softer, more natural, and more matte final result. Worth it! Read more
