If you’re looking for a classic pilot you can’t go wrong with these AOs. The frame is very well made and since it comes in 3 different sizes you can easily find the perfect fit for you face. It also comes in 4-5 different lenses which is a plus. The look of it is fantastic. It’s very similar to the Classic early 2000s RayBans. It is polarized so it works very well in sunny San Diego and the glass lenses are not too dark which I love. I got a pair of Bausch and Lomb Ray-Ban gradient mirrored aviator glasses in 1980. Within a year I gave up on wearing contacts, so the non-prescription Bausch and Lombs sat unused in pristine condition for 35 years until I gave them to my oldest son five years ago. Of all the things I gave one son, none were more envied by the other two than those glasses. No one makes such great glasses today. These AO sunglasses come as close as anything. They're a classic old-time design, by American Optical, a classic old-time optical manufacturer like Bausch and Lomb, and while these glasses lack the gradient mirror coating, the lenses and frames otherwise seem every bit the equal of my old Bausch and Lomb Aviators.
