I had owned a Russel Hobbs Steam Iron for many years which sadly went into retirement as the steam shot button stopped working. After reviewing the 100's of irons available and deliberating over a normal steam iron or one of the new steam generators, I decided to stick with a normal steam iron and buy this Russell Hobbs Diamond Elite. However, I've got to say this isn't just a 'normal' iron. To start with its very nice to look at, sleek, black, and very modern. It feels really comfortable with a silicone type soft grip. It is fairly weighty BUT my old iron was the same and personally I like a heavy iron. It holds a generous amount of water in the tank, glides effortlessly over the clothes and is a pleasure to use. I also like the fact that it has a nice point, handy for getting into tricky areas on garments, and the cable is nice and long too. It has a really powerful steam shot and quite honestly there isn't anything that I don't like about it. I would definitely recommend this iron and would buy it again without hesitation. Read more
