I somehow blew one speaker of an older version cerwin vega " just bigger than bookshelf" set of speakers- from sight o figured they were 8" and I decided I'd at least replace with cerwin vega speakers, so I got these, found I had to expand the opening a bit, and dropped them in. Mind you these are hooked up to a higher output Kenwood real home stereo system - no little mamby pamby nonsense- this system is designed for floor speakers and blowing your head off-. I had the volume up a little over half about where the windows might break in the room -no distortion - great response for bass , treble or midrange (I didn't have the EQ hooked up) - of I ran the control up or down these speakers responded accordingly with no distortion amd with proper reproduction. I am not certain how you want your car system to sound but for listening room they work well. Of course - not enough can be said about cabinet enclosure and mounting and porting. Read more

I haven't seen this brand in a long time but the last time I heard their speakers they were among the best. After hearing this thing it seems like they sold the name to someone who put it on the cheapest speakers they could find. Read more
