This is the best formula dishwasher detergent. I prefer the classic packs with the dissolvable plastic wrap, but I can't find those anymore. These foil wrapped packets are annoying to unwrap, but really not that big of deal. I never had an issue with any clogging or effectiveness with those disolvable plast wrapped tabs. I'm not sure how dirty everyone elses dishes are to necessitate using the quantum and thos other premium gel pack line finish, but I tried those once and although they were effective cleaners, they left an incredibly strong after-smell and some taste, especially on plastic dishes. These tabs have always cleaned appropriately and leave no smell or taste afterwards. I had to return them to Costco after using a couple. Of the hundreds (or low thousands?) of these tabs I've used, I've only had maybe a handful of dishes that didn't come out clean. But that could also be how the washer was loaded, how old the food was, etc. I'll keep buying these as long as they continue to be made and sold for a reasonable price. Read more

This was a great price on a HUGE box of Electrasol tabs. The discription did say these didn't need to have the wrappers removed, but it was the old style that dose need to be unwrapped. Truth be told, I'd rather be able to still buy a big white box of white, unscented Electrasol powder. A huge box of that stuff got EVERYTHING clean, was incredibly inexpensive, and had a lot less waste, and without perfume. Though these do a great job, they do make suds. I also put my dishwasher through its paces every time I run a load of dishes. I scrape, I don't rinse, dishes often sit in the racks for several days before I'll run the washer. Oh, and my DW is about 30 years old, and it still takes less than an hour to wash and DRY a load, not the three hours the new machines require. Highly Recommend! Read more

I bought these because they are not covered in plastic. All the brands with plastic-covered pods don't work properly in our dishwasher. They stick a lot and don't release properly.
