I've used cheap $30-$40 headphones my entire life. This is my first more expensive pair and I LOVE them. Great sound quality, the mic is solid, and the passive noise cancellation is really good. I just need to get used to it because I talk a lot louder than I need to when on Discord. They're super comfortable, surprisingly light enough to wear them for hours and still feel comfortable. Build quality feels sturdy with a little heft, but not heavy enough to be uncomfortable, whatsoever. I really like that the volume wheel has a small click when reaching the midpoint, so you don't have to guess. Really nice touch. I was to able to plug and play immediately. Once I plugged it into my computer I was prompted to download some Razer software, which was super easy to setup and took a few minutes to learn. One thing I don't fully get the purpose of is THX Spatial Audio. It sounds noticeably worse than when it's off, but maybe I don't fully get the purpose yet. I'll update this review if I get it to work properly, but for now, I keep it off. In terms of product quality, it feels like a high-quality pair of headphones. I'm not an audiophile by any means but I absolutely love how these feel and sound. The ear cushions don't trap sweat or heat and honestly just feel great after long gaming sessions. The Synapse app has a lot of options, an equalizer, and various presets like Movie, Game, and Music. Just the Default preset is great already. Music sounds really good, when consuming media like Youtube videos, or Netflix, the headphones sound great and I can't complain. Overall these are quite amazing headphones. I highly recommend getting them if you have something higher quality than the typical "budget headphones." It's definitely worth the price. Definitely a great buy. These are *great all around*, with clear and solid sound. One small note—if you run sound tests, you might notice some **rattling in the 1-20 Hz range**, but in actual gaming, it's not really an issue. The *THX Spatial Audio* works well, but sometimes the *audio driver can bug out*, requiring a quick unplug/replug or a restart of the *Razer software* (which does need to be running for full functionality—probably the biggest downside). The *mute button* is a nice touch, and the knobs for volume and controls are super convenient. The *fabric ear covers* are a big win—they won’t flake like fake leather over time, and best of all, *they’re comfortable with glasses*, which is something I always struggle with on other headsets. Plus, the *detachable mic* is a great perk. I don't use the cover case, but nice extra too! Fun side note—TimTheTatman uses these too (though he rocks the white version). Purchased at 124 SGD. Good sound and mic quality at this price. Razer SW provides quite some mic tuning. The compare video can be found on YT, actual experience is close to those review. I personally choose V2 over V2 X cuz I'm particular on the wire material so I pay the extra. But TBH I think if your budget is right at the 130 SGD, V2 X is better for value. Also if your head is bigger than average people, this headset should be the most comfortable one to put on, compare to HyperX, Logitech equivalents. The design is not that aesthetic, per se, but its mechanics does allow for low pressure on your head. For someone play games for more than 3~4hrs a day, comfort can be important. The only thing I felt unsatisfied is that although the mic is great on this headset(if you use dedicated sound card), the bundled usb sound card compresses it too much that it just become mediocre. I wish they didn't cut cost at this part otherwise it would be an unbeatable choice for the price. Read more

I bought a new monitor, which doesn't have speakers in it (a deliberate choice) so wanted some good headphones that I could use to watch films with and play games with. Read loads of reviews and these were considered the best for the price. Very comfotable on the head and they cut out the surrounding noise amazingly (beware your partner/parent shouting you as you won't hear them!). Within the last six months I've spent over 600CAD on headsets for my PC. One of the headsets I returned, I kept the other one [Logitech G ProX?] and spent another 100CAD on a new microphone for it, a Blu mic that was purchasable after the fact. No matter what I did, these headsets were awful. I struggled through this for almost six months before finally giving up and going back to my Blackshark. I immediately started getting compliments on my voice. I bought the newest Blackshark a few days later, this one, plugged it in today and the microphone quality is slightly better. I didn't need to purchase it, but I'm grinding that compliment rep now. I use Equalizer APO with Peace Equalizer installed. I messed with Peace Equalizer to make it perfect for this headset and my god, it sounds amazing. This headset responds really well to an equalizer. I've had people ask me if I do ASMR, telling me my microphone quality is amazing, my voice sounds beautiful. I'm so happy. Maybe out of the box it wouldn't sound as good, but when you run Equalizer APO and Peace as well, the sound quality you can get out of it is amazing. I cannot say the same for other headsets I've used. The Logitech G Pro was awful for mic quality, and so was whatever other headset I tried and returned. They cost more than double the amount of this headset and the mics on them were just awful. This is the headset. It's a good price, a very fair price, the sound quality for music in incredible and very bassy as well. It's also super comfortable. I bent it a bit at the top to make it press less on my ears, and the flexibility of this headset is much better than others. You can bend it to fit any head. Earpads are super comfortable, more comfortable than the last version as well. And the cord for this headset is longer than previous versions, like the one with the green cord is about six inches shorter. It makes it much easier to use the headset, even with those extra few inches. All in all, I won't be buying other headsets anymore. Razer far outshines much more expensive headsets. ♥ Read more
