Our tile person did not get the walk in shower slope correct so needed a barrier to stop water flow. Out of (2) purchases, this one with the more flexible top and wider base worked best. I had some commercial grade silicone adhesive from our granite installation to make sure it would stay in place. The included tape would never work properly IMO. This is a great product to keep the water from leaking out of my roll-in shower. I bought another one from a different buyer and it came off as soon as I tried to roll my shower chair over it. So I did some research and found a comment that said they used silicone caulk to reinforce it. They mentioned how the adhesive wasn’t sticking well on tile because the grout made it an uneven surface. So I caulked all the grout that was going to be under the shower dam. Then put the dam over it with the adhesive that came with the dam. Let it set for 24hrs. That dam would make a beaver proud. It ain’t moving for nothing. And my shower chair rolls right over it. Ok, so I moved to a new house and the shower has a nice glass shower door. Well I was worried that the water was going to go all over the bathroom and the land lord told me it wouldn’t happen and not to worry about it. Well, first time taking a shower water was all over the place. Days later the neighbors complained of water damage to their wall claiming the water was coming from my house. I bought a different type of runner door water/splash stopper but it didn’t work. I was so mad and nothing stopped the water from getting all over my bathroom. The land lord said to put towels, I was not having, wet towels every time I took a shower smh. So I kept looking and came across this item. I wasn’t sure about it, but decided to purchase it and give it a try. Well, I installed it. It has the tape at the bottom and it was super easy to attach to the ground and easy to cut. It looks nice and I was happy with the way it looked. I took a shower and water was still getting through. So I bought some clear silicone, applied carefully and very well. I let it dry, and took another shower and finally after three months of dealing with water all over my bathroom, this saved the day. Now I don’t have to hurry to take super fast showers to minimize the amount of water flow to the main bathroom area. This item does a great job creating a barrier and preventing the water from going to places you don’t want to.
