First off - the description makes note of using this on low voltage. They mention ethernet, thermostat, network, HVAC, etc, etc. I purchased this with the intent on using this on 14 gauge romex and it worked PERFECTLY. (Circuit was off obviously). I needed to chase down some weird line of romex and see where it went so I could remove it form the panel. The toner picked up the wire with ease and I was able to isolate and remove the wire. Pros - I've used the more expensive brand (it's blue in color, every electrician has one) before and it worked well. I can't say this one was any different. And about 1/2 the price. It comes with a case and can even isolate specific pairs in a bundle if you short the correct pairs. Cons - I haven't found any yet. But I will update this if any problems arise.
