I don't write many reviews, but I have been taking this inexpensive supplement for a little over a year now. I've been fortunate to have healthy hair & nails most of my life, but for the last few years (I'm 69), my nails have gone from strong to fragile...chipping, splitting & peeling so that I almost gave up giving myself manicures. When I started taking biotin, at first I didn't notice much difference in my nails, but my hair was growing so much faster that my hair stylist noticed & nodded when I told him I was taking this. He said he recommends this to his clients with weak hair & was not surprised it was making mine even stronger. So I was encouraged to keep taking it, at least for healthier hair. It took 4-5 months, but gradually my nails grew stronger too. They are now in good shaped & rarely split or peel. My manicures go on well & last longer since the nails are stronger underneath. It hasn't taken away the fine lines on my face or reversed the crepey skin I'm seeing in places, but my skin doesn't seem as dry as it was before.
