I would definitely buy this product again if I had another 10 gallon tank. It fit my tank perfectly and is heavy duty enough to keep my cats out and even holds their weight when they try to stand on it.... Plastic back piece is easy enough to cut with kitchen shears to allow room for a filter but still sturdy. Stick on handle seems durable and has plenty of strength to use just one of the two provided handles. Packaging was amazing! There was no way this thing could arrive broken even though Amazon threw it in a larger box without insulation. It was fully bubble wrapped and tightly contained within its own manufactured box. Fits 10gal perfect. I don't know why amazon has it as frequently returned item. I thought maybe because it didn't fit right. This is my 2nd one of these for my other 10 gal. All pieces come apart so it's easy to clean. Glass is thick and sturdy. I agree with some of the reviews that say the hinge doesn't allow it to stay up and you may have to hold it but I just slide mine back and it works great. One of them is closer to the wall so when i slide it back and want more room I just prop the plastic part against the wall...I don't see the issue. (I've never had a mark on my wall) i have a submersible filter, heater and extra bubbler so the plastic back just lays on top of cords and it's not noticeable plus it makes it easier to slide. Guess if you had to cut out for filter it would be different. I also didn't use the handle they give you to stick on. Number one I don't like how it looks..I like just the glass for a cleaner look plus it would interfere with my light across the top. It's perfect for me. Read more
