I selected my size based on the size chart on the Just My Size website. According to their chart I needed a 3X, and that size fits perfectly. These shorts are 100% polyester, so there is no give in the fabric. I definitely recommend measuring your waist and hips and comparing that to the size chart before ordering. Some reviews complain there is no inner brief. When I purchased the shorts on 8/3/2017 at a price of $12 each for my selected colors, the manufacture description did not indicate there is an inner brief, nor did the shorts I received have said brief. The shorts are all polyester with a small mesh inset on the hips/sides. There is a small pocket (big enough for a key or ID) on the inside of the waist at the right hip. I find the shorts to fit well and be very comfy. They are lightweight and move easily. I purchased these shorts planning to wear these shorts for walking, hot yoga, and yard work; these shorts will definitely work well for all my planned activities. Also, I think I may also use these for the beach or lounging by my mom's pool. These shorts offer just enough modesty for my fluffy inner thighs, yet they will not hold onto moisture in water activities. These are great shorts. I recently started working out and had nothing to wear so I started my search for “plus size active shorts”. I finally found these and at such a great price! They’re windbreaker material (not plastic like other reviews suggest), which is nice for working out cuz it’s lighter and not so clingy and hot. These are truly made for plus-size women, not just a regular size short with a little extra material. The sizes aren’t just “extended sizes”, they’re actual plus-sizes...I find that a lot of stuff that’s made in “extended sizes” (ex. XXXL) and are based on regular sizes, don’t actually fit me right. I wear anywhere from a 3X to a 4X (depending on the material) so I ordered a 5X since I knew these wouldn’t have any “give” to them. In retrospect, I could’ve gone with a 4X but I didn’t want to take the chance since I’m in between sizes. The waist band does stretch but it was a little big on me; however, they do have a drawstring that I tied, which keeps them from falling off. Plus-size bottoms are always made to come up to the belly button but, if you’re like me and wear your pants slightly above the hips, you’ll want to roll the waistband down one time, which puts them at the perfect spot. They’re also the perfect length. All-in-all, order a size up from your normal pants size and you’ll be happy with the fit. You can’t beat the benefits of these shorts for the price! Okay so they totally aren't plastic like as some have said but they do resemble wind breaker material. They are extremely comfy around my legs however the band does not have alot of stretch so if you want a more baggy feeling go up a size. I like how the ties are on the inside! I also didn't recall seeming the mesh on the side but I love it!! They are a bit see through but not bad and the mesh does go all the way to the waist band. I am definitely getting a second pair.
