This is exactly what I wanted: a traditional, no-gimmick, no fancy lights or displays, Italian coffee machine. This ticks all the boxes for me. I love the fact that it's manual and I can tweak my coffee to my liking and it looks so good! I would recommend it for lovers of Italian coffee who are already familiar, or want to learn, how to make espresso the traditional way. There is also a filter for pods but I've never used it. Bought it with the SMEG grinder and the pair look and perform wonderfully. Read more

this machine looks great, its small and fits everywhere and the coffee it makes is really good.of course making good espresso is very tough and I am still learning, but i feel this machine does the job well.my coffee is usually on the bitter side, i use dark Starbucks roasts ground up around the 4-4.5-5 mark.the commands are easy if you read the catalogue slowly.this machine is very good if you are an amateur and you're not looking to go deep into the art of making coffee, if you are a pro you might be frustrated by the fact that u can change the temperature settings, but you only have three options and no real indication to what the temperature is, u might need to buy a thermostat for that.also, u cant tell if you are getting 9 bars of pressure or not, my coffee feel well extracted but i can not compare it with other machines.it is hard to find an open portafilter to fit this machine, the one that comes with is is great and heavy duty and has two different basket sizes but it is a closed portafilter. it works great and the crema it creates is gorgeous, but if you want to see your coffee as it extracts, and whether it creates channeling you need to get an open portafilter. i managed to find one on amazon but sometimes i feel like it is not a perfect fit and maybe some pressure is escaping.all and all it is super fun to have, its a well build and stylish machine, it does make some noise when it extracts and i never really used the steamer as i don't drink milk, but i highly recommend it.
