Purchased this model last year and pleased with the results. The course and fine slots sharpened my dull knives with little effort. Decided to purchase another for Christmas to give. The model I received is not the same, all black. This one does not have the protective cover over the Asian slots and the handle is lacking the finger hole. I had expected the same Red and Black unit as pictured. There should have been a notation that this model could be substituted with similar. I hope it performs like the Red and Black unit. Read more
