I used this bag traveling through Alaska - did a lot of hiking and recently through Europe - a little hiking and big cities . It has many pockets, which is good and bad. Bad for me because I can't remember which pocket held what! It is resistant to rain, not waterproof. In a downpour I had to empty it at the hotel to dry out. It is very lightweight to the point it folds into itself. I was able to put a full change of clothes and everything else I needed on the plane. It fits nicely under the seat fully loaded. When I only needed a few necessities, I would opt to have my husband carry the couple of things that didn't fit into my pockets. We live on the side of a hill, a steep hill. I work on the steep slopes in the yard. I need something to hold on to going up and down the slopes so I need my tools in a backpack to free my hands to use items to aid in climbing up and down the loose soil on the slopes safely. Love the look of pack so far. It has enough compartment's to fit everything I bring on a day hike with me. The main compartment has two deep separate compartments which seems to fit about everything I need. Also I have two outside pouches where I can place my water bottles. It also have two more compartment in the front of the pack, which fits small things such as your phone charger, small snacks, and other small items. I haven't use this yet on a hike but have been stuffing things inside to see how much weight it can handle. I will give a full review once I use it. Update 4/6/2017 After using this for a couple of day hikes now, I still will rate it a 3 star. It's a great starter day pack and that is it. I was able to fit my first aid kit, hammock, a book, down Jacket, fleece jacket, and a couple of snacks. It have clips on the side, so you can clip it even tighter together. Two areas on the outside of the pack to hold your water. Be warn if your pack is full, it maybe hard to reach your water bottle while still wearing the chest clips. I have to unclipped and swing over to reach the bottle. At first I like separate compartments within the big pocket, but I feel now I cannot fit everything into the bag. I could probably easily without division of compartment fit my tarp and sleeping bag. Cons Too small of a pack to fit everything I usually bring on day pack. Wasn't able to fit my sleeping bag and tarp. After my day hikes, I like to hang up my hammock and relax. Zipper gets caught often on the fabric, which has lead to a small tear of the fabric. Be very careful when zipping things up Once chest clip is tighten it seem the ends of the clips that attach to the arm straps slightly move towards the side of my breast causing discomfort. Doesn't hurt at first but after awhile you can definitely notice. Overall a decent pack for a short day hike. This is definitely not 33L like they advertise close to 25 or so. Great for days outing. Zips up small for fit. Opens up nice. No problem with fabric or stitching. Straps are comfortable. It is water resistant but can’t say if it is waterproof. I got pink. Nice color. Lots of pockets. So many I forgot what pocket I put things in. Read more
