I'm a dental hygienist practicing for 20 something yrs. When I originally got loupes , I got flips ups because they were way cheaper , so I've been wearing this style loupe for over a decade. With that being said , flip ups are heavy and if you're not used to them, you're gonna feel the difference. I'm used to them so for me, these are amazing. The quality is really no different than my 1k loupes. I got them because I needed more magnification and I'm really not trying to spend 2-3k at this stage in my career.
